Service was great, food (pizza) was hot but that's about all. Got there 430 pm on a Friday, not busy. Ordered the all the way pizza and skipped anchovies and jalapenos. Lacked flavor as well as proper sizing of things like green pepper and onions. Way too big, i.e. too many whole, large, rings of each. Could have stood to be cooked longer as well. Pizza was soggy in the center, and barely brown on top. Given the lack of a pizza sauce only thing I can think of is that it just wasn't cooked long enough. Tomatoes had no flavor. Dough had no flavor. Didn't see or taste a pizza sauce. No Italian spices were evident. Our mistake for letting them put on green olives. Between that and uncooked green pepper/onion thats all I could taste. Slices not cut uniform and cut way too big on about a third of the pizza. Then its time to go and the waiter attempts to get the rest of the pizza in the box, see picture, .......from waiters hands to us, not too good. Overall, if I want pizza from now on, it's Pats in Americus, Pizza Hut, or DiGiorno from the grocery store. Sorry guys, I was really hoping it would have been good. Think they try hard but a few folks need help as to what a Pizza should taste...
Read moreI had a taste for baked spaghetti, so after Googling places in the Albany area and reading the reviews, l settled on Villa Gargano. I read that VG was hands down the place to go for baked spaghetti. I had hoped for the best, even tho l had my doubts. When I called ahead to place the order by phone, l asked for a description. I was informed that it was spaghetti and meat sauce topped with thick mozzarella cheese. I guess if you want something you have to make it the way you like it. *My idea of a baked spaghetti is much like a casserole...including sauteed onions, green peppers, garlic, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, italian spices (in the sauce) and topped with Italian and cheddar cheeses.
Sometimes l will add shrimp, sausage, ground turkey, and add pepperoni slices on top of the cheese before baking. A real spaghetti bake. The taste of Villa Gargano's baked spaghetti was bland with no italian spices, that l could taste, and the cheese was like chewing a glob of rubbery bubble gum. Just horrible. I was very disappointed with my order, l couldn't even enjoy it at all. Although, I've had their pizza in the past and it was pretty good. But their baked spaghetti could definitely...

Our recent visit to Villa Gargano Italian restaurant was a deeply disappointing experience, particularly given that we traveled two hours to celebrate an early Father’s Day. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the unfortunate news that the restaurant had an extremely limited menu, staff, and seating. The dining room was essentially closed due to the lack of wait staff, which was a significant letdown.
The most frustrating aspect of this visit was the lack of communication. There was no phone number available to call ahead and confirm the restaurant's status, and no other information was provided online to inform potential diners of the changes. We had high hopes for this dinner, especially since the menu items looked amazing based on our research beforehand.
While we understand that times are challenging for many businesses, it was a hard pill to swallow after such a long drive. The lack of preparation and communication on the restaurant's part was disappointing and made for an unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, our visit to Villa Gargano did not meet our expectations, and we left feeling...
