Edit: Decided to update and only give 3 stars: We placed a call in order that we had planned on picking up at the drive thru window. This order was approximately $60 worth of food. The employee who took our order told us it would be ready in 15 minutes. We leave to go pick it up, once there we pay and are told to pull up and they would bring it out to us. We pull up and continue to sit for 15 minutes before an employee ask our name and goes to check on order. Another 5 minutes pass and yet another employee comes out and ask us again. We sit and wait, after around 30 minutes of waiting another employee comes and ask what name the order was under. At this point we tell her itâs been over 30 minutes waiting and the food was called in an hour ago. She goes in and checks and comes back out to tell us that they âaccidentally gave our food to another customerâ. She ask if we want a refund or our food made- of course we just wanted our food at this point. Approximately 15 minutes later she brings it out and apologizes, but doesnât offer anything else. Really disappointed in the service.

I hate to say it, but this Jays is definitely better than Jays in the country (the one on Stony Gap Rd). Definitely try the Alaskan White Fish- you wonât be...
   Read moreLast night was my first visit & I can honestly say it was the best food I have ever eaten. The filet of flounder was so good & the hush puppies were out of this world. They gave you a lot of food & the prices are very reasonable. I drove up from Charlotte so I could go with my family who lives in Locust. The waitress that waited on us was very sour & she took our order & brought the food out to us, but then she did not come back. My son got an "all you can eat" dinner but the waitress never came back to see if we wanted anything else. This was my families 4th. visit & they said this happened evertime they went to Jay's. He complained to the lady at the front desk & she said how sorry she was but it did no good as he has complained about the service everytime & still no improvements. If this establishment has decent waitresses it could take all the business away from other establishments whose food is not near as good. I will go back just for the food, but I will not be expecting a friendly...
   Read moreBest seafood in town but this particular evening I ordered a steak. A lot of folks have raved on and on about how good their steaks are so I thought I'd try it myself. In my opinion, I've had better, so I don't think I'll get a steak from there again. I'll stick to the seafood. The staff seemed to not have it together as far as getting foods to the right customers and may be that's what happened to my steak. I may ha e gotten someone else's? Not long after we began eating, a server came up to our table and noticed we were eating steaks and she had 2 steaks in hand ready to serve us and we were like "ma'am we've already gotten our food". I noticed that happening several times with servers coming out with plates of food and going up to tables asking folks if they got this or that. Maybe the need to #their tables. That could help with all that unnecessary confusion and servers aren't carring plates if food from table to table. I will go back but not...
