Tried it today. First issue: No menu-scan a code. I left my phone at home and was alone, so I couldn't look at the menu while I waited. The girl offered to let me look at it on her tablet, but people were behind me and it appears to be a large menu. I know they have large selections with many choices, so I can see the difficulty of posting it. Second issue-they wanted my phone number. I'm not giving that out at this point. In line it's a quick ask, and it's not clear how they will use it. Loyalty points of course, but what else? Third issue-tipping at ordering in the car before I've even tasted anything. I don't like that. Third issue-large, plain black coffee was $4.00. That's a little steep. I didn't even get cream and sugar. This is a specialty coffee shop, not a shop to drop by to just get coffee. I will say the girl taking my order was VERY friendly and happy. I do appreciate that. The coffee is very good and was nice and hot. I don't think it's set up to be easy for people who don't understand specialty coffee (I do, but didn't need it today). So it's a place to stop and get that special coffee as a treat, but not a friendly place for people who don't normally do specialty coffees. I personally won't be going again, but I do think Albemarle can use a place like this, for me personally it would be ONE STAR, but as a big picture review, I would never say don't go here. If you didn't forget your phone and you want that great special coffee with oat milk, flavors, etc. and you are aware it's pricey, this will make you happy. If they want more "normal coffee drinkers" they could change...
Read moreWhere do I start. I guess with the service. I waited forever just to order from a RUDE SERVER. I got my order and it tasted like mop water. I spit it out and had to wait in line to return it. I don't have time like this to be wasting. I WAS MET WITH ANOTHER (worse than the initial) ATTITUDE. I was made to feel like it was my fault they couldn't do there job. So I guess if you like the taste of mop water and being treated like an interruption to someone else's life then this is the place for you. I, however, will not be returning and none of my friends or family will be returning there either. Absolutely horrible. I'd be better off drinking fresh sewage. They better hope I don't get sick. Whoever is in management at this location needs to be replaced since whoever that is obviously doesn't how to train, manage, or instruct on the importance of customer service and satisfaction. Read moreHave been there 4 times. Twice including today got the wrong order. The first was decent. 2nd time got the wrong order but by the time it was realized it was too late. Today my wife ordered by phone, went over the order several times with the young woman. When I brought it home to her, it was wrong again. I personally do not go there but have taken my wife and also picked up orders for her. These people need to get their act together. This afternoon there were 3 young women and a guy. The women were all dancing, talking and laughing inside, the door was open.The guy was out in the pouring rain taking orders. My wife said she could hear them over the phone, sounded like a party going on. The phone order today was given on my phone (speaker on) while I was there.
