Eat'n Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Albert Lea

Update: They haven't changed the way they do things, and their Dole Whip flavors aren't...as advertised. Ordered two "duo" cups, and the flavors weren't as advertised.

Original: Friendly, tasty and efficient. Though their line is usually long (always a good sign), their ice cream is worth the wait.

The flavors are spot on and they are kind while you're ordering/picking-up.

Two experiences I've had now though, is that when I order it in a cup, they fill 1" of the bottom, then create a cylinder of ice cream (hollow through the middle) and top it off with ice cream. It doesn't feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for when I get a hollow cup.

The ice cream is tasty though...so, there's that. But if you are like me and prefer a non-messy cup...you're going to get less ice cream than if you order one of their massive cones (which I can confirm as I've seen them, are amazing).

Personal preference that I don't like a half empty cup, but I'd still say it's...

Strong with the Force, this ice cream shop is! Tried the Rocky Rhodes Sundae — chocolate ice cream, bananas, crunchy marshmallows, Heath pieces, and pecans — pure frozen bliss it was. This place is only second to the Blast in Owatonna. Fast friendly service. Depending on the day it can be a very popular spot but they are quick so you are never waiting too long. They increased their selection this year too which is awesome! The newest addition of Frostline is lactose and gluten free was a great addition so far my favorite is the salted caramel in it but they haven't rotated through all the flavors yet.
