Harold's Bar — Restaurant in Albert Lea

My husband and I were traveling to the Twin Cities along I-35 and were looking for a fun, small town bar and grill to grab a quick bite and relax a bit before heading back out. We walked in and sat at a table opposite the bar, there were a few people sitting at the bar, but other than that pretty empty. We grabbed a menu but it was covered in food stains (honestly, I didn’t really want to touch anything in that place), nothing even sounded good on the menu! We waited for a bit for a server to come over, but there were none to be seen, there wasn’t even a bartender behind the bar. We waited for about 5-10 minutes before the bartender even came out, but at that point we felt so uncomfortable we were walking out. I DO NOT recommend taking the time to stop! Came in for a drink with a friend. Sat down, tried saying hi to the bartender and was basically just ignored while the regulars (I'm assuming) continued to be interacted with. Almost left at about the ten minute mark but was given the opportunity to get a drink. The request for drinks was made and waited another ten minutes before we were asked what we ordered. We left.

I don't know how the food is, or the drinks but we didn't stick around to wait to find out.
