The owner of the store was rude and disrespectful. I had went to take my mom there for her birthday. The worst customer service We’ve ever had in our life. The owner was yelling all loud at my mom for asking about a discount because We really didn’t eat because the food was cold cold. My mom told him a lady coughed on her food so he cut her off yelling. Basically said she lying. Like a apology would of been nice to start off with not no yelling. I looked at my mom and said he won’t even let her talk like that is unprofessional. People were looking at us clueless because he was making a scene. It was embarrassing and uncalled for. We asked him why was he so loud and yelling. We would pay but at a discounted rate not with him yelling or we walking away. He kept yelling so We walked to the car . Then he calls the police gives them the license plate number and his staff follow us outside. You gotta be kidding? He Denies yelling while he on the phone with the police. We should of called the police and gave my own recording of him yelling. It was very unprofessional a bad way to start her birthday and the new year for us. We don’t bother nobody. It’s already hard enough on the holidays without my brother . Who died at age 6. He messed up my plan to treat her to a good time. Waste of money too. Like who about to pay $20? For some cold food? Poor customer service? That’s the first and last time visiting there. We had to order food again somewhere else but first we got food from piggly wiggly a deli which was better and yaya in Boaz pasta was so good and keto Bowl. Anyone that knows me knows my mom didn’t deserve this kinda of treatment. She’s a Christian Author and teacher who believes in everyone being treated equal regardless of the color of their skin. He called the police on me.I told him a lady coughed on my food. He cut me off yelling. Basically said I’m lying. My daughter was treating me to dinner for my birthday. She said he won’t even let you talk. People were looking at us. It was embarrassing and uncalled for. I asked him why was he so loud & yelling. We would pay but at a discounted rate & not with him yelling or I’m walking away. He kept yelling, so I walked to my car. Then he calls the police, gives them my plate number. Has his staff follow us outside. Denies yelling at me, while on the phone with the police. I should of called the police & gave my own recording of him yelling BUT IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY. I didn't want to deal with that. I went back inside & paid. It was very unprofessional & a bad way to start my birthday & the new year for my daughter & I . I agree with all of the customers who reviewed this place. Last time I went here, my daddy was still alive! When I first read the reviews, I have never come back ever since. It has been 4 years and THIS place has changed for the WORSE. I remember eating stale-tasting pizza and old-tasting chicken last time I went. But today, the cleanliness of this entire establishment is awful! The employees sometimes forget to clean dishes, tables, and the buffet itself. I get the employees are Asian, but they need to speak some English! They are useless about ice cream. One time, I asked a lady where the chocolate syrup was (they didn’t have any). The only thing she did was point everywhere and say unintelligible things. More recently, a customer asked where the pecan ice cream was. The male employee just shrugged. The manager is also pretty rude, saying that “it’s a Chinese restaurant, what do you expect? We don’t speak English very well” or something. Also, there are cockroaches EVERYWHERE! They could end up in your food or crawl onto your table. They can even end up in your drinks, too! There are SO many cockroaches that one customer was CHARGED quite a bit of money for the bugs in their food! I also saw that this place still has a low health score. I’m BEYOND shocked that Chow King is still in business! PLEASE BOYCOTT CHOW KING UNTIL IT SHUTS...
