Willy McCoy's — Restaurant in Albertville

We have eaten here two times. We came in the first time for our anniversary and had a fantastic experience. We came in for a Friday lunch. We loved the food so much we wanted to bring our daughter for her 16th birthday. The food the second time was not good. I ordered the same dish but it didn’t resemble what I had the first time. The Mac and cheese this time - the cheese was so thick it was hard to even eat it. It was less a cheese sauce and more of a cheese cream. Both my daughter and I went through two glasses of our drinks and couldn’t even finish half our Mac and cheese. It was just gross to be honest. My husbands fries were stale and tasted like they’d been under a heat lamp for an hour. It was beyond disappointing for this momentous occasion in our daughter’s life. My husband and I discussed our disappointment later after getting home and had a laugh when we both admitted we wished we’d just taken her to Space Aliens where we’ve never had a bad experience before. We will give Willy’s one more shot though before writing them off. Clearly whoever was the cook the second time was not the same as...

Ordered the black and blue burger with bacon. The patty was very salty and way too much seasoning, it overpowered the entire flavor of the blue cheese and bacon.

But worse yet, my wife ordered the ultimate BLT. It was made using a candied bacon and wasn't that great. After eating half her sandwich she saw on other half It had what appears to some sort of plastic cooked on the bacon. When we complained about the issue the waitress she said it was edible and it was the liner used in there food baskets and they line the pan with it when cooking the bacon.. Maybe it is not toxic, but definitely unsightly and I don't usually endulge on paper or plastic to be in my food.

Plus side, the seasoned sour cream was yummy. We also insisted we would not pay for my wife's food and they were very accommodating. I appreciate that and so they will stand by their product. But unfortunately the taste was not to our liking on either item and will probably not be back.

The manager on call, Thomas, did nothing to address my issue with this Willy McCoy burger I was served. It is supposed to be 2 quarter pound patties and I would say both patties here totaled a quarter pound. When I brought it to his attention his only response was, “I will bring this to the Kitchen Managers attention”. Not only did he not go to the kitchen manager and follow up with me he did not offer to do anything. My wife and I are loyal customers of 9 years and this is my first time interacting with Thomas directly. Based solely on his response and no action taken I wouldn’t keep him employed as he doesn’t meet the Willy McCoy or any restaurant’s standards for addressing a customer’s concerns.
