At the time of my dining here, they had only been open 11 days, so it’s important to keep that in mind. Most other reviews seem extreme (ones or fives), so I’ll highlight both great things and areas needing improvement, which are probably just growing pains. Having heard stories about long wait times and going with an ADHD kid, we went during off hours at 2:30 PM on Friday. I called ahead to ask about table wait and food timing. The woman answered “Hello?” without stating the business name (threw me off). She said tables were open and food was taking 15-20 minutes. We arrived and sat immediately at a booth in the bar area by the window. The interior was great with nice decor. There were dead flies and gnats on the windowsill, a pet peeve of mine at restaurants that should have somebody wipe down windowsills every morning because eating next to dead bugs is gross. Menus came immediately with chips and delicious smooth salsa with just the right kick. The chips were light and crispy. Our server Moises was very friendly. I ordered a skinny margarita and my kid wanted chocolate milk with extra chocolate (they mix it there). Both drinks came quickly, and my kid was impressed with the chocolate amount (parents of picky kids will understand!). My skinny margarita was one of the best I’ve ever had! We ordered food with drinks to speed things up and I noted the time. Food took 35-40 minutes despite being told 15-20 minutes and only half the restaurant being full. My impatient kid kept commenting on the wait. Mexican restaurants usually have food out in minutes (which can almost be annoying if you've only had two sips of your margarita), but given they’re new, this should improve. The food: My kid ordered an enchilada platter, I ordered mole poblano (chicken with mole sauce). My picky teen loved it and declared this their new favorite Mexican restaurant (previously Pancho Villa in Monticello). They loved that Si Senor doesn’t put carrots and peas in Spanish rice like many places do. My chicken was significantly overdone and I was grateful for the steak knife provided. The mole sauce was fabulous. Rather than wait another 30 minutes if I sent it back, I cut it small and ate it with the sauce and still enjoyed the flavor. During the first 15 minutes after food arrived, 3-4 people (not our original server) asked how everything was. I suspected we had arrived during shift change and Moises had gone home. A while after we finished, nobody had been by for a bit and my kid wanted dessert. For 10 mins or so, I watched employees walk past and four gathered at the hostess desk in apparent confusion. I was about to approach them when I spotted Moises and got his attention. Other reviews mention Moises is the bartender (my back was to the bar so I would not have noticed this). Since we sat in the bar area, I suspect he serves those tables in addition to bartending. Given how many people order drinks at Mexican restaurants, expecting the bartender to also serve seems unfair. For dessert, we ordered Xango, rarely seen on Mexican restaurant dessert menus. It's deep fried cheesecake wrapped in flour tortilla with cinnamon and sugar. It arrived quickly but was still frozen in the middle, not warm and melting as intended. Flavor was still delish and my kid finished it anyway. I asked for the check with dessert since I worried we’d wait long for that. We were cashed out quickly. Total: $52 for two meals, one cocktail, one chocolate milk, and dessert (seems right). Overall: Good place with great potential. I’m attributing less-than-stellar things to being new and potential staff shortage. We’ll absolutely return, and unless issues persist, this will likely become one of our new favorites.

When I got here it was extremely busy, so I was expecting a wait time up to 45 minutes or an hour. But to my surprise, I only waited about 10 minutes for a table for two. A server came by shortly after we were seated for drinks and we got those fairly quickly. When the drinks came out we ordered our meals. I waited about an hour for food, and I noticed and overheard tables around me were also waiting a while for food, but also menus to begin with. I did also notice the hostess was running around doing a lot, the best she could. My server was kind, but never came around again after our order was taken. Once I finished eating, I waited another 30-45 minutes just to be asked if we were set for the bill or needed anything else. We kindly told the server that we were a little disappointed with the service. He offered a discount and gave us a certificate. The reason I gave an extra star was because he made it right. I was not expecting a gift certificate, at all. Bathrooms were nice, but people left it a mess. I can understand higher wait times for a busy place, but after over an hour when most people have left and I still haven't been acknowledged that is not good service. Some communication between everyone and maybe some time to settle into a new location this place could be something better. Overall, the food was decent and the margaritas were amazing. But service and wait times were the problem.

5 Star. Walked in at 8:15 to a nearly full place. There were either people or a pile of dishes on every table. The place was slammed. The bar was full of dishes and no one sitting there... First impression made us nervous, but we knew they just opened so we had to give them a chance. They nailed it. Despite being absolutely slammed. The service was excellent staff remained positive and friendly and worked their tails off and delivered. The drinks were amazing with all the attention to details and garnishes. The food was equally as well prepared and everything tasted great! We're excited to have such a great new place in town.

We visited tonight and it was a mixed bag of an experience. We sat at the bar finally and ordered our food almost right away when we sat. We ordered a couple margaritas right away. We got our drinks right away and then after almost 40 minutes we had no food. We asked the bartender and he told us “Well, food has been taking over a hour but since it’s not as busy you should get your food within the hour.” About 15 minutes later we did receive our food after a hour. The food was quite good comparatively to their other restaurants. All are good but I was impressed by the food here.

I have a couple concerns. For one, the food took a hour. The second being that they seem to know of these issues and didn’t warn us that it would be longer wait for food. Furthermore, we didn’t even get so much as a single free cocktail after being there for over a hour and a half, including a hour waiting for our food. Lastly, we did unfortunately hear our server telling another customer that he has to work from 9am to 2am each day and sleeps only 4-5 hours. This is absolutely not okay to expect of your staff.

We might be back but please fix these issues and treat your...
