Continuing from the last post, sharing some real-life locations from *Breaking Bad* and *Better Call Saul* in Albuquerque. Detailed addresses can be found by searching "Breaking Bad locations." 1⃣️-2⃣️ Recreated iconic scenes at the *Breaking Bad* Museum—not the actual filming locations. 3⃣️ Jimmy McGill’s office in Ms. Nguyen’s nail salon. The place is still a nail salon, but the entire plaza looks completely abandoned and a bit eerie. Not recommended for the faint-hearted. 4⃣️ Tuco’s hideout, which Walter White blew up—now a café. 5⃣️ The real-life inspiration for the three pillars behind the bench in the first photo. 6⃣️ The parking lot where Mike Ehrmantraut worked, located in ABQ downtown. The area is pretty desolate on weekdays, so I didn’t dare wander around. 7⃣️ The grand HHM law office. Now an office building—security wouldn’t allow photos, so I snapped one quickly and left. ABQ’s city planning is oddly efficient; everything’s within a 15-minute drive. 8⃣️ Los Pollos Hermanos, Gus Fring’s chicken joint. Didn’t go inside for photos—too spooky at night. 9⃣️ Doghouse, where Jimmy sold his burner phones. The neon sign looks great at night, and the hot dogs are supposedly good too. 1⃣️0⃣️ One of the many lawyer billboards along the highway. New Mexico has tons of flashy lawyer ads, just like Saul Goodman’s. Turns out Vince Gilligan was going for realism! #BreakingBad #BetterCallSaul #Albuquerque #FilmingLocations #TVShowTour #TravelDiaries

Glad that they had vegetarian and vegan options and I didn’t have to worry about trying to order something vegan in a non vegan friendly place. Our waiter was very sweet and had great service. He checked on us just enough without being annoying by coming by the table too often. The food was a bit bland, but nothing worth not returning over. Instead I’ll just be sure to ask that it’s spicy or for a side of something I think might help that next time. I didn’t say anything to the waiter, however I think he would have brought me something if I had. He was already great about making an addition to my bean flautas. It’s extremely cheap. For two adult meals, an appetizer, a beer and a cocktail it was $28. The portion sizes are large. We were full and had left overs. They even have live music on occasion, so we’ll be returning on the 8th when they next have a band. Definitely give them a chance if you’re in the area or a local. Don’t let the location fool you. The inside is great.

Tried this for the first and last time today. Wasnt thrilled with large steak fries for carne asada fries nothing wrong but never seen that before. I ordered two bandito orders the description was "1/4 pound bacon burger" which I specified in the notes to leave plain. I also put in the notes at the end of the order to PLEASE READ NOTE ON BURGERS and they did not. I was sent a burger with onions peppers and cheese. No bacon. Not plain. Kind of a big deal because my boyfriend is allergic to bell peppers and they weren't listed on the description. The mango Fresca we got tasted like water and Ajax. Uber offered no compensation which is the least of my concern i just want to voice what happen so further training can be asked for and maybe a look at your uber eats menu settings.

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE, THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! I ordered from Uber Eats at 7:36pm & order was accepted & then cancelled by the store at 7:38pm! I called the STORE and they said they never got an order, to call Uber. I did call Uber again and Uber kept transferring me to Uber Mexico? When I finally got them to take my call, they stated they could not refund because the STORE said I had CANCELLED the order!! Sent screen shots, proving I did not cancel. Uber then sent me to chat requests & then they kept dropping chat like 10 times on purpose! Then I got an Uber manager on the phone and they stated I requested a refund too many times! I have never requested a refund until last night. FINALLY I Got ANOTHER manager on the phone they said to call the store again. SIGH! SO I CALL STORE AGAIN and let them know what was happening. The manager stated that I had cancelled my order so she was not gonna refund me. I said, "I just talked to you, you said you never got my order." She said "UGH! HOLD ON!" and covered the phone. I could hear her speaking Spanish, yes I am a white lady, and I sound white on the phone, but I speak fluent Spanish...in Spanish she said "Oh my God, it is this dumb white lady again, her order was too small so I cancel it. But she called Uber, wanting a refund, not credit, so I lied to Uber so we don't have to give her money back. What do I tell her?" Someone in the background stated, "Just tell that WHETA to keep complaining to Uber until they listen and she won't get her money back!" Then people in the background started laughing. Not knowing I had unwittingly already done this. But I didn't know this restaurant WAS IN ON IT! She got back on the phone and told me what person in the background said to her. I was so angry that I just said OK and hung up and started to cry. It was already 8:50pm by this point. I can't believe people are so disgusting and these companies work together to defraud customers. Luckily I use a phone that automatically records calls so if the state or BBB wants that info I can provide it. Today I filed a complaint with the State Attorney, the BBB and I plan to keep exposing these crooks! My boyfriend works for a news team here and says I should go to everyone with my story because it made him SICK! And other people would never go here if they saw this. Please BEWARE and spend your hard earned money at a local shops that deserves...

I moved to New Mexico almost two years ago. I've basically been on an odyssey to try as much of the local restaurants as I can. Albuquerque has a ton of great places but Bandido Hideout is my favorite.

I've eaten here probably 15 times and still haven't really gotten through most of the menu because I have a few favorites I've come back to several times. Tonight I had the beef enchiladas with red chile and good god they were great. The cilantro was an unexpected but amazing touch to the flavor profile of the dish.

My favorite thing I've had here is the full tilapia drowned in an extremely spicy red chile sauce. I went to bed sweating that night but it was unbelievably good.

The food here isn't pretentious. It's very honest food with an equally honest presentation.

I can't wait until corona is gone so I can go back in person.

If you're debating ordering from here, just do it. But don't order something you'd get from a nation chain mexican restaurant. Be adventurous. At Bandido Hideout, it really pays off.

Edit: Also the guy in the second newest review from me gave Golden Pride a bad review so that should really say something about the type of person that doesn't...

My 1st time coming here and it was pretty empty. Sat down and it was a comfortable temperature for a hot day because we sat under the A/C. The waitress was very nice, friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Pina Colada Passion. It was a very good drink..I enjoyed every sip. My dining partner wanted to taste it also because it looked so good. It was topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. YUM. I asked the waitress about recommendations on a shrimp dish as I was feeling like seafood. Shenrecommended the Camaron Bandito which was shrimp sauteed in butter with jalapenos, onions and tomatoes. Came with choice of corn or flour tortillas, beans and rice. I really enjoyed the shrimp but could have done without the tomatoes. The rice and beans were very good..I'm not a rice person I am very picky but this rice was yummy. My partner ordered the beef enchiladas and she wasn't very impressed. She said the tortillas ended up coming out too hard so it was hard to eat. I will go back again to try something different. Possibly the tacos I hear great...
