Although the "Chuck E. Cheese's" franchise is sort of "scripted" as far as hosted birthday parties go; and yeah the beer is outrageously priced(I mean how else will a dad or a mom ever deal with other people's children...) but it is so convenient. For birthday parties the staff takes care of everything. First, you register online(this is best if you are an introvert) or call the establishment you wish to visit. Then the staff reserve seating, have plates, cups, and table decor set before you arrive. Once the first guests arrive and check in the "party" begins at the parent(s) of the birthday childs call. Once the OK is given to the staff the food comes out and is self serve. We order pizza when we schedule these events because kids and adults of all ages usually like it. We usually have no more than 10 adults and 6 kids and most of the time 5 pizzas are more than enough. After eating kids (and adults) can play arcade style games, take pictures and play in a indoor playground consisting of tubes and slides. Then the hostess will then ask the parent(s) of the birthday child if they are ready for cake and ice cream (all of which is taken care of and included with the bill) the hostess serves the cake with candles in front of birthday child and a little "show" is put on in honor of the birthday child. The hostess then serves ice cream to everyone and gets the "pinata" set up. After cake and icecream the birthday child gets to go into the "ticket blaster" (a windtunnel where you catch flying tickets). After that you and the little ones can go play for the remainder of your visit depending on the ticket package you purchased. We usually do the 2 hour play package and that let's you play unlimited until the time runs out. After that the "party" is concluded and the host brings the bill which is usually not more than $270.00 for our reservations. From a parents perspective the kids love it. They have a blast playing games, they feel like the star of the show. As an adult, I've done the math on it and on a well planned party, buying the decorations (of course the theme changes every year if we do it at home) filling up propane, buying drinks and soda, paper plates and utensils, hot dogs and hamburgers, and anything else associated with a bbq/party costs more. Usually. Not to mention you are stuck with the mess. But bang for your buck in my opinion this is a great option for a younger childs birthday party for...
Read moreThe 1 star is because i loved watching my son interact with other kids. However, you give the appearance that you have good games for kids and that they can win "more tickets than ever" Yea likely story. If this is more than ever that is very sad. I put $30 on a card. While we did get a decent amount of time to play this whole thing with the 50 ticket jackpot on most of our games is just plain wrong. Big bass wheel didnt dispense tickets. guy i asked for help did help me but seemed uninterested in being at his job. Then my son wanted to throw the milk jug toss ball. I watched TONS of people loos their money. When I asked for assistance from a different gentleman I was told " oh yea we should probably turn that off because it's giving lots of issues." My first thought is ... you think? I then play the big wheel game... no tickets came out. we played other games then he wanted to ride the chuck e cheese car. Says that there is a photo... no photo ever came out. at this point I had no desire to find anyone as they all don't honestly seem to care. So after holding the tickets for 1 hour i decided it was time to count them. Out of the 4 ticket counters only one worked and it didn't work at 100%. so is your standard with these guys to only make sure it's working 50% or sort of working.... working sometimes when it feels like it? Then after we count what I felt was an OK amount of tickets for $30 (655 tickets) I get to the counter and it is literal junk. $.01 cent prizes for 40 and 50 tickets. Then I see a hacky sack for 250 tickets? YIKES. I don't like the business model. It seems to be that you want to make the most money and give 0 back. Definitely didn't get an experience. All I can say is choose another facility in town that will actually fix their equipment and care when an issue arises. I wish I could have my $30 back. I will gladly had in...
Read moreThis is definitely not the same Chuck E. Cheese I went to as a child growing up.
The place was really slow on a Saturday which was mind blowing to us adults in my family. Now we know why. There was no Chuck E. Cheese mouse walking around or dancing with the kids. No Chuck E. Cheese greeting kids and families as they played games. All we saw was Chuck E. Cheese on the big screen. Bummer
I don't think 1 adult was working the shifts while my family was there. The workers just standing around and or talking amongst themselves. The pictures I took were of all the games that were not either not working correctly or broken. It was extremely disappointing.
My mother-in-law ordered the unlimited salad bar and when she started getting her salad she had noticed that the salad was brown and the fruit in the vegetables were molded and old.
We had to take the pizza back to get the pizza cut correctly.
The restrooms were gross and the toilets clogged. In both men's and women's restrooms. My sister in-law told 2 different workers and nothing was done about the restrooms.
I asked to speak to the manager and she told a worker she didn't want to give me her name or talk to me.
You don't get tickets nor do you know how many tickets you're winning when playing the games. When the games are over you still don't know how many tickets you've won. It's like you're playing but there is no more excitement because we cant see the tickets come out of the games. No loud noises or flashing lights on the games to let you know your doing good. Everything was lame and boring.
My family spent well over $120+. It's truly disappointing to see Chuck E. Cheese is not Chuck E....
