The rudest employees you'll ever meet.
Sadly, my family and I have decided to end our relationship with Taco Cabana after several terrible experiences. The food was great - their customer service, however, was downright nasty.
I called to tell them, after waiting in line for 30 minutes and returning home, that they had missed a few items on my order. I had to pull teeth to get a manager on the line. Finally, they asked if I could return and they would just remake my entire order. I return to sit in line for another 20 minutes. I get to the window and the cashier has nothing but an attitude towards me - waving my receipt at her manager like a child, irritated with me because they couldn't get my order right. I sit there for another 10-15 minutes while they prepare my order for a second time, cars are revving their engines and honking their horns as I am now holding up the line. Just a terrible experience.
A few days pass, and I chalk it up to the pandemic - they're understaffed and overwhelmed...I tell myself to just let it go. Like an idiot, I return to buy some stew for my son and the cashier takes my credit card - doesn't swipe it, runs to the manager, says something to her about me, and comes back to run my card. The manager peeks her eyes below the order shelf to look at me. The cook from a few nights earlier comes to stare at me through the drive-through window too. I waived because I didn't know what else to do. I haven't been in high school for a while now, so I'm no longer used to dealing with gossips and bullies...
I am still shocked by their blatant disrespect. They've messed up my order multiple times and somehow, no matter how nice and understanding I am, I was still the problem. Don't worry, you'll never have to see my face again. I'll be just as happy spending my...
Read moreMy husband's first time and it was TERRIBLE. The druve thru line was super long (it was a little past 5pm), so we went inside. The cashier was a teenager. Friendly enough that we didn't mind that it took him a while to find the right buttons on the register. We ordered a horchata to go with our meal. The cashier went to ge the drink and I realized he hadn't asked if it was to go or dine in. When he brought the drink back I told him the order was to go. He walked directly to the "kitchen" and told the men back there it was to go. They acknowledged him. Then in less time than it took me to get my salsa from the salad bar (where there were several flies - YUCK!) our number was called. Plated up, not to go. I waited at the counter while being ignored by the man plating the food. I told him the order was to go. He responded with, "he didn't tell us." Blatantly lying to my face. So I told him "well it is to go." He rolled his eyes and then reached behind and handed me 3 boxes. I had ordered a combo plate that included sunnyside up eggs. So I told him I needed some foil or something because I wasn't going to scrape it all off the plate and into the box. My husband boxed it all up and we left. When we got home there was something reminiscent of pulp in the horchata. Gross! They were very skimpy with the cheese on the quesadilla and it was only toasted on one side. Plus it wasn't cut, so my son just tore it apart. They gave us (not fresh) chicken taquitos, not the beef taquitos we ordered. The side tortillas were not cooked through and were coated with a heavy dusting of flour. So disappointing. We definitely will NOT be returning to this location at the corner of Wyoming...
Read moreTaco Cabana has always been one of my go to places for fast food fajitas and so much more. The atmosphere, employees, and especially the food have all been excellent in my book. No matter what state, city, town or wherever one is located. Taco Cabana and their employees have all been the same... superior, and given the best customer service in the fast food industry ever. Now I recently stopped at the Wyoming and Montgomery location in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The parking lot was clean the building look great and the atmosphere was excellent. Customer service like always was top knotch, how ever the food well. Let me just say it's still great, but I believe the quality has fallen some. The beans tasted off from what I'm used to, the steak fajitas were not as flavorful as before, and the rice well I've never found a restaurant that could meet my expectations of rice. The drink fountain, you could tell hadn't been cleaned in I don't know how long. The spouts some had calcium build up. If they had been removed every night to soak and cleaned that wouldn't be their. And I won't go much more I into it, but other places were not up to par as I've had always seen in Taco Cabana for several years. I hope it was just that one location and they were just having a bad few days. But don't change the food when it was perfect already. I will return to Taco Cabana when I'm in the craving for it. You didn't lose a customer. Maybe gained an inspector to keep your branding and those in that location or any other location that...
