Honestly, Crackin' Crab is better. The two out of the three Crackin' Crab locations that I have visited, the one at 4959 Pan American freeway is the best. They have actually encouraged us to try other locations. They have never once degraded, belittled, insulted, or tearing down any other establishment. That speaks a lot for them.
This business however, the server's, or at least the two people that were attending to us, were quick to bash the employees, bash other establishments, and so quick to have something negative to say about the slightest little thing. They were friendly. They were kind. And very cordial to us. But the lack of confidence and quick to be hating on another establishment speaks Lots in what this business is lacking. I'm not going to lie the food was pretty good. But it just takes away from it when the server is going on and on and bashing another establishment. We have only been there once for this particular reason. And we have gone to eat at the same type of food and establishment, but we went to Crackin' Crab, we're not only the food was good, so was the service and their confidence in their food and establishment just lights up the entire area. And that says a lot for their staff and...
Read moreWay over priced for the food and experience leaves you feeling a bit dirty. Water was gross, took 50 minutes to get our food, they cleaned up the entire restaurant while we were still waiting on our food. I couldn't even eat my soft shell crab sandwich, two fried bodies on a sub bun...no frills. My side salad was only lettuce and two cherry tomatoes, for like 6 bucks! They charged us for potatoes we ordered, but didn't get, the corn, which is also extra was just thrown in the $50 crab bag, ice cold! The food comes in a big plastic bag so it feels and looks like you are eating something "Dexter" would serve. The tables are also just covered in big plastic sheets, so they simply wrap it up and toss away the mess. They have a great business model, charge high market price for fish/shell fish then serve everything on cheap plastic....very low overhead. At the very least, get a proper water filter! If you want fish, go to Pelicans. Oh and they ran out of oysters, the main reason we went there. Lastly, staff was not friendly at all, nor attentative. They were too busy cleaning the restaurant at 8:30 for close at 9pm, on a Saturday! Guess they wanted to go home as badly as I did! 80$ later, I went home and had a...

Me and my family have been ordering from down and dirty for some years now. I first want to start off with customer service over the phone was dishonest on the quantity and the amount that we were ordering!!!!!
Once I got to restaurant it took them over 5 minutes to greet me as a guest.... Maintenance is definitely needed I will be calling the city !!!!!!! I asked for complimentary items such as a table cover beforehand I was knotted off and ask did you pay for your order!!!!!! I had to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes for my order to come out the lady that gave me my order was completely rude and threw it on the counter and told me to sign my ticket!!!! She did not tell me thank you she didn't say anything and completely walked away. Once we got the food there was little to no sauce the corn was overcooked and potatoes looked rotten and tasted like dirt. We called to talk to management and nothing was done at that point but putting it back on us as a customer the crab was tough with little to no meat inside this will be my last time with the establishment or recommending them to anybody I am very disappointed in the staff and the way the situation...
