Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Albuquerque

There was no line and we still waited 20 minutes at the drive-through to order two of the new Lemon Cheesecake Fried Pie. After we alread paid with a credit card, some older lady in the back of the kitchen was yelling over the cashier that all they had was apple pie. Would have been nice to know before we already paid so we asked for a refund. The cashier did not know how to do a refund and ended up getting the lady that was yelling from the back of the kitchen to work on getting back our money. She was rude and was still trying to force us to get the apple pie. When we declined for the second time she told us to park in front of the store to wait for our refund. We declined her request, there was no cars behind us, and did not trust her with our credit card. She said the refund takes along time to do. When we reminded her this order was only $4.00, she ended up throwing my wife's credit card through our car window and cussed at us. We still needed our refund and continued to wait at the drive-through window. After waiting another ten minutes, there was still no cars behind us, which says alot about this place. We finally received our refund in cash from some gentleman that seemed to be in management. Maybe some training in adding a refund back onto a credit card and definitely teaching proper customer service would help these employees.

I would be to kind to say this is one of the worst Church's chicken franchise. This place is the worst chicken restaurant would be more accurate: compared to KFC, Popeyes, and Golden Pride. I never been to a restaurant for that matter that did not have drinks, side dishes, or entree. In this case, they did not have tea, hush puppies, corn, or thighs. How does this place stay in business? So we went next door to KFC and guess what? KFC actually had...

The employees are definitely really sweet but I had a craving for churchs because I hadn’t had it in so long. However, it did not meet my expectations of how it tasted when I had it back home. The chicken wasn’t super fresh and tasted a little over cooked. I actually like for my chicken to be greasy but it was dry. Not to mention my husband spotted a roach and killed it. I haven’t seen a roach in a restaurant in so long but that comes with the territory of dining in instead of driving thru. The restaurant wasn’t clean because of all the crumbs that were still left on the floor and the visible handprints on the bathroom door. The drink machine to get free refills doesn’t work so the workers have to get it for you but because the man made additional drinks for us on accident the lady worker gave me one of the extras he made which wasn’t what I asked for -strawberry Fanta not cherry. Nice people, but whoever owns this place needs to do a better job of hiring or managing. Sorry to write...

This is possibly one of the worst fast food chains in Albuquerque. I usually only do positive reviews, or no reviews at all but this place needs to be called out or shut down entirely. We asked for a smokehouse half chicken combo meal and a #1 All legs and 1 medium coke and 1 medium diet coke. Here's what we got, one half chicken, 2 breasts, one large mashed potatoes and one medium coke warmed above room temperature and one large coke warmed above room temperature. Literally hot sodas, no ice and no legs. Over $20 just thrown away in the trash. We had to get back in the car and find a second fast food restaurant. We have had quite a bit of issues with church's chicken lately and I believe that we are finally done with this screwed up chain. DO NOT go to this location please. Warm soda should get you shut down until your ice machines are fixed. I've never been this angry at a fast food...
