When one think's about Dairy Queen we think about hot eats, cool treats and everything in between to satisfy our childhood desires of ice-cream selections, hamburgers with fries and sugary beverages. In all honesty Dairy Queen has it all! The location on Louisiana is no different.
The management believes in a clean restaurant as well as fast customer service. During my recent visit I was promptly met with a customer service representative who took my order, suggested additional items and made me one of the best pecan Turtle Blizzards I've had in awhile. On this visit (9/21) the Louisiana location offered in-store dining and drive-thru and/or take out.
There is a great selection a pre-made cakes and other assorted goodies in the customer freezer compartment. The restrooms were clean and the floors were spotless. It is important to recognize that the restrooms (male restroom pictured) were clean as most staff utilize the same restrooms as their patrons.
To accommodate drive-thru wait times for specialty items, there is a waiting area for those orders. I like this as it allowed me to get my order and drive away rather than wait in line for specialty orders that we're ahead of me. As with any other restaurant there will be rush periods and longer than normal wait times. This did not stop the Dairy Queen located on Louisiana from providing me with quick service.
This location adheres to Covid-19 protocols and suggest masks for patrons in the Drive-Thru as well as within the restaurant. If you're looking for ice cream favorites, or a great place for a quick bite, you will not be disappointed with the Dairy Queen located on Louisiana Boulevard.
Due to the cleanliness of the restaurant, taste of the food and the expeditious service - - - - I am giving this visit the highest rating possible.

Original Review: If someone says they have an allergy, your store needs to take it seriously. When my son says he has a nut allergy, you guys need to recognize how serious of a health hazard that is. My son got a Salted Caramel blizzard that he's had before without any problems. TODAY there were NUTS in it. SEE PHOTO. Your ingredients do NOT MENTION ANY NUTS in the ingredients, but whoever made it today ADDED NUTS. When my son tried to complain to your store about it, they told him he ate too much to do anything about it. We'll let me tell you, IT ONLY TAKES ONE NUT for him to have a reaction. AGAIN, SEE MY PHOTO SHOWING SEVERAL and they were all AT THE BOTTOM, where you don't notice them until you start...
Read moreWell I would give 5 stars if the Dairy Queen app has been working. I use alternate transportation and ride an electric brushless Kickstarter for my commute as I got to the DQ I then found out the doors were not open to the public, and it began to rain. Of course then what has been two cars in line was then a line out to the street…. As I’ve been turned away from other drive thru operations arbitrarily I really wasn’t wanting to publicly humiliate myself again. But… I had ridden all that way for my son and myself and had to try. Not without the cars in the line making things more dangerous and annoying, the folks inside running the operation were very understanding and helpful, I very much appreciate the humanity they displayed towards me as by the time I made it to the window I looked like a drowned $h!7 house rat. So I made sure to thank them monetarily and with my validation and vocalizations of thanks.
Hey, if you see someone out in the rain and you’re the car in front of that person with your vehicle’s a$$ end nearly in the street, maybe move up when you’re able, and if you’re the one being said person on vehicle with no roof in the rain maybe when y’all get up to the part where you need to trigger the sensor maybe pull up just enough to set the sensor off instead of watching that person discount jump all around and up and down and call the store 5 times while you could just help out, huh!?!
Thank you employees of the DQ YOU’RE LITERALLY WHAT SAVED MY FAITH IN HUMANITY...
