TEMA Furniture — Local services in Albuquerque

LOVE TEMA! Here’s why I think you should at least check it out when you are searching for new furniture:

My boss recommended that my husband and I check out Tema for our new furniture. Tema is a New Mexico based company so you are not only getting quality furniture, but you’re also supporting the local economy (we like supporting local businesses). And my mom has always praised the quality and style of the furniture at Tema. So one recent Friday afternoon my husband and I ventured to Tema in search of a couch. Anya, an interior designer and sales agent, went above and beyond in helping us choose our first new couch ever. First she just let us browse around. I didn’t feel pressured into buying anything but I felt like I could ask questions if I needed to. Then when we narrowed our selection to our final three couches, she really helped us decide what style to go with based on the needs of our family. Fast forward a few weeks, and we just received our couch today. Just like Anya said, it works well with our decor and needs and we LOVE it. It’s also a high quality couch that is super comfy and looks like it will last forever. A huge plus is that we got the couch on sale:-).

I have to add that Tema offers complementary interior design services to its customers. So Anya came to our house and is helping us choose a few more pieces of furniture for our home. After this furniture buying experience my husband and I don’t think we will ever shop anywhere else for furniture. Thank you Tema and Anya for making our first furniture shopping experience wonderful. Five stars! Highly recommend!!!!

We went back to Tema in 2024 to buy a dining room table and some accent furniture for our living area. Heather and Kalim were super helpful! They came to our house and gave us some great suggestions on how we could furnish our home. Superb customer service. It’s my go to furniture store in town. Worth...

I don't know what contemporary means in this sense... But it seemed to me furniture they sell there is a modernist variety. But not the typical kind typically you get black and stainless Steel themed furniture . is this is a totally different type of modern or contemporary look in my opinion a nicer one.... in this situation my opinion is a little more relevant because all of the staging furniture for the remodel homes that I do, come from here. That is of course When going for a modern look.l and by we I mean my head of Design/ interior decorator refuses to go anywhere but here for that look that she calls contemporary. To be honest I call itlt modern because it just looks like modern furniture to me ,she however, goes crazy for it and so do the customers that buy the homes. half the time try to buy the furniture . I always say yes on the furniture to which she replies Corey there is no way I could do that I can't sell Sorrento furniture it belongs to the store she can has a odd faithfulness to the this store and I wouldn't trust anyone else but her advice in these situations pits. She also can get them a at depending on the price but, speaking of price, to buy the furniture at t e m a it wouldn't cost any more than going to a regular furniture store and for modern contemporary furniture and believe me folks that says a lot because if you go to Santa Fe and look for modern contemporary furniture you probably well walk right back out of the store when you see the price tags I know I do! So long story short we both recommend this place and they have a huge selection big store I'm fixed she's have to check it out for yourself to see and they are having us some kind of Christmas deal going on as well as a Serta mattress sale. Tema has beautiful modern contemporary furniture that you cant find anywhere else. The people are extremely helpful when your in the store shopping, but the follow up service is not very good. We purchased a table and chairs months before our home was completed and they still have not recieved them. They did however lend us 6 chairs until ours come in which was a huge help! Every time I call the store it takes over 10 minutes to get to someone who will actually help you. You would think anyone would be able to help set up a delivery date and check on an order, but the only person who will assist you is the person who sold you the furniture. It is extremely upsetting that we spent so much money on furniture and only that 1 salesperson will assist you if you need anything afterwards.

Update: The team at TEMA really listened to my review and has been doing everything they can to ensure they fix the issue of only 1 person being able to help you. I have called numerous times and have been helped immediately by whomever answers my call which is awesome! I also worked with Lynn on my order and she has gone above and beyond to ensure we are happy customers! It's really nice when they actually listen to you and do their best to fix any issues. I definitely reccomend working with TEMA, for their vast collection or modern/contemporary furniture and their amazing...
