Garcia's Kitchen — Restaurant in Albuquerque

We waited on the phone for for over 20 minutes to place an order and they told us to call back after one hour we called back after one hour. Waited another 20 minutes for somebody to answer the phone .They again told us to call back to place our order after one hour to speak to the manager so we called back again after about two hours we placed our order then she said we had to pay for it over the phone which is fine I had payment in hand then she said I had to call back in a couple of hours to make the payment. I told her I have the information in hand she said I know, but we are really busy right now you’ll have to call back in a couple of hours. I told her you already told me to call back after an hour which I did and then he told me to call back again after one hour which I did and now I’m calling you again to place the order and you don’t want to take the payment. What kind of Mickey Mouse operation do you have running over there? Her name is Najoni she was very short and rude and I would not recommend coming to this location, and with that kind of atmosphere I would stick to the juantabo location because they are the best by far. The only reason why we went to the fourth Street location is for convenience because we’re having an event in the middle of the week that needed to be taken care of which you have to place the order days in advance in order to get the stuff you need for the event for this being the a professional business I don’t see why you should have to call several times and be told to call back again after making the order the can kick rocks!! Worst...

Only Gave 1 star because the food is good. The staff & customer service however is horrible. We order from this location sometimes once a week. We order from Garcia's at least 3 times a month. We have ordered from the same location on 4th Street for over a decade. I am not exaggerating when I say that they've messed up our order EVERY SINGLE TIME! It can be as small as forgetting to put in salsa instead of guacamole but there's usually a whole entree wrong or missing but we've been charged for it. And when you call to let them know the order is wrong, it does not matter who you talk to, manager or not, they always say it couldn't have been wrong and some have even said that we should've checked our bags before leaving. When a to go order is placed at a restaurant part of the convenience I'm paying for is to have the order looked over by the staff & accounted for before it's bagged up. Obviously we've tried to see if service would get better before writing this review but once again they got a 2 item order wrong(ordered:green Chile stew & refried beans. Received: green Chile stew & green Chile on the side). Again when it was brought up the order was wrong an employee stated that that's what we ordered so that's what we received, (not in those words exactly) before correcting the order. So customer service definitely needs more than a step up. They must be relying on their good food to make up for the huge lack of...

Food gets 5 Stars, Service gets 1 Star.

Wow. Chili Relleno was the bees knees. I mean perfect cheese, breading, and smothered in tasty red chili. Not as hot as I would like, but so flavorful.

Service was so bad. There were two waitresses. Let's call them "Green" and "Red" because that's the color of shirts they were wearing. Well, Red came and asked for our order, one of us wasn't ready, so we went ahead and ordered, she said she would be back to take his order. NEVER CAME BACK. 15 minutes later or so... I had to go get her since I couldn't grab her attention. Green came to give our food, said she would be back with Sopapillas, but NEVER CAME BACK. We got them from Red, and 30 minutes later Green asks "oh, did you get your sopapillas?" Um.... no thanks to you Green, we did.

Manager didn't care to listen to the issue when I was telling the cashier, she came up for 5 seconds and left.

They did credit me the Omelet with Bacon. Even though we asked for no sides, it was still full meal price instead of a la carte.

Again though.... food...
