I had the pleasure of visiting La Cumbre Brewing Company in New Mexico, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The brewery combines a welcoming atmosphere with exceptional craft beers, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers. The first thing that struck me was the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They were more than happy to guide us through their beer selection, which is diverse and extensive. From hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, there's something for every beer enthusiast here. The tasting room is comfortable and inviting, creating the perfect setting for enjoying a drink with friends or fellow patrons. The quality of the beer truly stands out at La Cumbre. Each sip was a testament to the brewers' skill and dedication to their craft. Their consistent high-quality brews have earned them a well-deserved reputation in the craft beer world. La Cumbre Brewing Company also impressed me with its commitment to the community and sustainability. They often host events and contribute to local causes, which adds to the sense of belonging when you visit. In summary, La Cumbre Brewing Company is a gem in the New Mexico craft beer scene. If you're a beer lover looking for great brews and a welcoming atmosphere, don't miss the opportunity to visit this fantastic brewery. It's a place where you can savor outstanding beers while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow beer enthusiasts.

So for starters I’m a fan of La Cumbre beer and supporting local, especially in the current climate. Today, on a Sunday, I stopped by with my partner, he ordered a Dank and I ordered an Azuelito. We walk up to the bar, order our own beer (a total of 3x). On the third time ordering I ask the girl (with the purple hair), do you mind knocking off some of that foam (in my mind I’m buying beer not foam), she tells me they have been told to put a 2 inch head on the beer, this statement I didn’t have a problem with, but when she said “so that’s how I’m going to pour it”! Thats what got me. I literally have to walk up order my own beer and then I got totally dismissed, not cool. I buy 5 beers, if you put a 2 inch head on each by my calculations I’ll paid for a beer that I didn’t get!? So here’s your tip, I’ll be taking my local business elsewhere (Canteen, Ex Novo, Bosque, Star Brothers, Steelbender) where customer experience matters because here it doesn’t. Side note, she continually approached other tables and provided them service tableside. hmmm 🤔 4/27/25, supported another local brewery who was serving LaCumbre, look a full pour!!!!

Elevated my favorite beer hands down. The tap room could use an upgrade but the beer is unbeatable. Ryeot On worth the trip. November 2017 update. I had to downgrade La Cumbre from 5 to 4 stars because they continue to neglect their tap room with lack of comfortable seating, under staffing and the worst 50s music of any tap room in NM. The beer is great but the tap room experience is almost bad enough to keep me from coming back. February 2022 update. Stopped by the tap room and had the Old School IPA, excellent beer and good service. Still just 4 out of 5 stars because Jeff's still neglecting the place and it's about 50 degrees inside. July 2022 and Sun Fade never disappoints. I think it's a combination of hefeweizen and IPA that is the best of both. Jeff how about some shade for the outdoor seating?

Let me start by saying I am giving 2 stars because I do not HATE La Cumbre, but my experience was less than enjoyable. I will also say the two fills I took are great beers. That being said i stopped by on my way thru town in my motorhome to pickup a couple of growlers. I wanted the freshest Project Dank I could get. Bartender told me I cant have one. Nowhere does it say that no growler fills of this beer are allowed. He said he could give me a pint. I said I am driving my motorhome and I cannot drink right now. He then says that they dont have any in cans either. What? The brewery doesnt have cans of thier signature IPA. Ya you can get a bomber bottle down the street. Please explain why I can sit there and drink it all day, then drive home. But I cannot take a growler with me? I have a commercial drivers license. I never drive drunk. I think this brewery needs to A: brew more Project Dank B: review its policy on growler fills. C: take into consideration its patrons, and listen to what they are telling them instead of saying "NOT MY PROBLEM BUDDY, I DONT MAKE THE RULES, I JUST FOLLOW EM"

So i caved and got two other fills because i was at the brewery. But the lady bartender was also rude and the two of them talked stuff about me while they were filling my growlers. Isnt the whole point if growlers so you can take the beer with you and not risk killing people after you have enjoyed your beer.

Great brewery, terrible service.

If there is a next time i will take the bartender up on the pint offer. 5 times. Or the amount needed to fill my growler. I do not care about the money. I routinely pay way more than $25 for one growler of high quality DIPA, TIPA, and QUADS. Todays total was $25 dollars for two growlers. Minus the tip I did not give per no bueno service. I work in the hospitality industry also, I try very hard not to treat my customers this way. A good service experience will get a 25% tip every time. I am lucky enough to enjoy my life. I try to spread the wealth. I care about quality beer, quality service, and the safety of other drivers...

Best brewery! I used to think the Elevated IPA was the best beer I've ever had but I then tried Project Dank... Yeah that is the best beer I've ever had. The taproom is set up well and has a good style for the atmosphere. Everyone is really friendly and down to Earth even considering all of the awards they have won. Aside from a college education (alcohol research at parties and bars) I have been to 10+ countries around the world and many breweries of all kinds. There are many breweries and large companies with one or two good, but usually not excellent beers, unless you've already had several of them to drink and the flavor seems better. Then when you try the other varieties available, they are so-so or strait-up taste bad so you only drink the one that is ok and familiar. I've been to so many "famous" craft beer breweries and been really disappointed with the different available varieties that I tried and had to stick to their basic best selling beer that tasted the same if I bought it in a different state or country. There are a couple of varieties of beer that I generally don't care for flavor wise regardless of the brand but I have been surprised when I've tried some of those from La Cumbre. I've found La Cumbre varieties of them have a better flavor profile and I liked them even though they weren't my favorite and are generally types of beer I don't like. Great place, great beer, and great people. Thanks for...
