ABQ Burrito & Burger — Restaurant in Albuquerque

You think a place with "Burrito" in its name would, at a minimum, have a decent breakfast burrito. It's mind-blowing how you could mess up a simple bacon breakfast burrito this badly. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and it was the worst burrito I've had in ABQ by far. The burrito was 90% bacon bits, with the remaining ingredients either missing or subpar. The bacon wasn't even full-sliced bacon; it was just crumbled bacon bits. They forgot the egg, which is supposed to be the framework of a breakfast burrito. The lettuce, beans, and tater tots were also missing. The advertised "shredded cheese" was just a nacho cheese-like sauce, which is a sin for NM breakfast burritos. And the green chile tasted like they just unfroze it from a hatch-green chile package, completely flavorless. Also, the ingredients that they didn't forget to put in the burrito were clustered together, so each bite was just a single cluster of the same ingredient. Yup, I got a full bite of the flavorless, recently unfrozen hatch green chile. The best thing about this burrito was the tortilla, which is just a completely average store-bought tortilla. In conclusion, I just got a burrito with bacon bits, Hatch green chile, and nacho cheese. Whoever made this burrito was not in their right mind, handing this out to the public. If you ever go here to buy a burrito, ask them for the tortilla only, as that is the only ingredient that won't make you want to throw away the product you paid for.

The burrito was terrible altogether, not worth $9.50. If somebody gave me this burrito for free, I would just throw it away. Not worth eating or giving away for free. The owner should be ashamed to call this restaurant "ABQ Burrito" as not even ABQ is as bad as...

I have been ordering from ABQ burrito for a while now. They have good flavor, but very inconsistent in what is placed in the burrito. They advertise "tater tots" and show pics of burritos with them. I keep getting diced potato which is not a "tater tot". Also, chicken, which is cheap dark meat and not chicken breast, is in small amts and not spread throughout the burrito equally. Another thing, they used to serve excellent coffee using "Whispering bean" coffee. Now I noticed they use "pinon" coffee which is not as good. Problem here are 2 things- advertise correctly and update your menu online. If you need to substitute the "tots" or change coffee, there needs to be notice about this so customers are not expecting one thing and getting another.Not sure I will order from ABQ Burrito anymore. UPDATE Oct 18 2024...So this experience is worse than before. First, the burrito was picked up on time by DoorDash- and it arrived ice cold. Second, the "red chile" tasted exactly like Tabasco- I question them using real NM red chile at all.Very vinegary forward. Tortilla is still so store bought type, not fresh. And where is the queso they listed as an ingredient in the burrito? Will not be ordering...

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My fiancé and I ordered breakfast burritos from here and also lunch sandwiches for later in the day (we’re both sick and don’t have the energy to cook) the burritos were barely warm, the tortillas were raw and the eggs were swimming in water. My fiancé got the cheese burger and I really thought that no one could manage to mess up a cheese burger but it came with a patty that was half the size of the bun and wilted toppings. I got the bbq chicken tender sandwich, except I didn’t receive tenders, let alone bbq ones, I got what looked like a Tyson frozen chicken patty on a way too big bun (a theme it seems) with soggy lettuce and tomatoes. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, the bun on my chicken sandwich had mold on it! So, you know, as someone who is allergic to a pretty wide variety of molds, I’m glad I saw that spot before I took a bite. I suppose it’s a good thing the patty was so small because I wouldn’t have flipped the sandwich over to show my fiancé the ridiculously sized thing and seen the oh so lovely blue patch on the bottom bun. I will definitely not be eating here again nor would I ever encourage someone...
