The hotel staff were talking about a bad customer who was harassing other customers when we walked in. It took them awhile to acknowledge us. The man who checked us in was friendly. The elevator sounded like it was struggling. The hotel as good potential but needs a facelift and higher standards for cleaning. The look of the room was not bad at first glance. Once we got a better look we noticed it was not cleaned very well. There were used earplugs on the side of the bed and a piece of what appeared to be a piece of chicken on the floor. We had a late night so didn't notice until the morning, the sheets were stained and had crumbs. We only slept in the bed, but I wish we noticed it before we slept in it. There were small hairs in the bathtub and the toilet paper holder was broken. It was well stocked with the essentials. When we got back to the hotel at night, there was a homeless person that seemed to be sleeping in front of the lobby. The security guard was standing there. I am not sure what was going on. I personally would not recommend the hotel or would stay here again.

The gym has no towels to wipe off sweat. No sanitation wipes are available. The gym shares the same room as the dryers so it gets very hot. The yoga mats are stained and disgusting. One of the 20 pound weights are missing. No water in the gym available to drink, only hot coffee. You can't even do pull ups since the roof is too low. The rooms were good size. However room service was not provided 2 days in a row when I asked! Nice fridge, closet, and desk. Bathroom shower is very low pressure. One of the door entrances is broken and can't even enter through there. No breakfast. Washer and dryer are $1.75 each so that's nice.

My stay here was absolutely LOVELY. I got in very late (which is why the pictures are from the end of my stay sorry) and was greeted by smiling faces at the desk. There was a security guard in a car out front which was a nice touch. The room was HUGE, the bed comfortable, and everything super clean. My one and only complaint is that the sink is strange. It was really low with a slanted lip that made quite a mess on the floor while I washed my face. I will definitely be staying here again if I come through Albuquerque again!

Warning: Stay away!! This Hotel will scam and charge an extra day after check-out. I paid till Monday 5/24 yet they charged me an extra day when I wasn't there.

I have proof I checked out. Also, said I had 3 rooms to my name. What!!! I was in room 217 for a week, no other rooms. They told me they don't give receipts till after check-out. Scam.

This is so unethical and actually bordering on criminal since you charged me without me even signing anything! Apparently, management is incompetent or criminal.

At 150 pm Tuesday a pending charge was shown on my account and at that point in my journey I was in Oklahoma (my card shows this as well).

My bank shows that they charged me Tuesday afternoon at 150pm when I checked out Monday at 6am. I never signed for the charge either.

So I have proof, where is your proof day Manage?. The manager states I was there all Monday..hahaha. where is your proof scammer manager? Of course, she wouldn't answer me. I literally have proof I was out at 6am Monday.

I asked, no reply. Telling. People I am filing complaints. I paid for a week. No cleaning services either.

Proof I have: Night manager who gave me a wake up call at 5am and I said I'm checking out, camaras(roll back 5/24 6am), Uber which picked me up at 615am, Amtrak ticket, but this day Manager woman wouldn't even give me proof I was there. Plus she was really rude.

Hotel is in bad area. If you want to be rob by hotel and treated rudely this is the place.

In addition, a young male desk clerk being trained saw me drop my keys off. I will never do business with your hotel again.

Stay away. They are shady. Albuqu sucked anyways, be careful. It's rife with crime.

I was stuck here for a few weeks and it sucked. The other hotel I stayed at down the road had a swat team come and I saw way too much crime stuff, hence I came to this horrible place and at least the red roof inn didn't charge me an extra damn day.

I am already pursuing action.Called Corporate to complain.

Plus, if you smoke not at the table area, they act like you may be a criminal..I suppose the reasoning is since that area has a lot of crime.

I was asked am I guest while smoking in parking lot. Well duh yeah. Rather rude.

This greedy day Manager states I was there all Monday and hell no I wasnt. This place scams people, esp if they think your a single woman. She couldn't prove I was there. Just Greed.

I am escalating my complaint. Have documentation. Unreal I have to take time out to pursue this horrible hotel.

By the way signed: Misty Moore. Who sadly stayed in your awful place from...

Thought it was gonna be a nice hotel, when I called to reserve my room, the manager told me this was a good clean hotel in a good neighborhood. Then we had our room and VEHICLE raided by police officers TWICE!! Because we got in late the second night, and my husband went back to OUR vehicle to get MY purse and to smoke a cigarette. The police said a vehicle got broke into (that wasn't even parked by my car) and since my husband had been in and out of the hotel he was a SUSPECT. We explained to the police everything we did and where we went, and the police offices agreed they SAW ALL THAT ON CAMERA. Well if they saw that on camera, they saw every where and everything we did, so why are they raiding our room??? After the police left, the hotel manager assured them that we must be the thief so the police came BACK to our room and searched it again, lifting our bed opening the fridge, emptying our luggage, they searched my car, had us throw out everything we had in bags (all our clothes) onto the dirty pavement. When the POLICE cleared us of any wrong doing, they tell us to make sure and take any of our valuables inside because they get called here for break ins to vehicles ALOT! After the police left us alone my husband suggested we go someplace to get our minds off what just happened. In the parking lot we get confronted by some man accussing us of stealing and demanding to give him his stuff back. It was unsettling to say the least. I thought he was gonna attack us. So i went down to talk to the manager (who by the way was the one that told me this was a good neighborhood.) She was so rude about everything, acting like we were criminals, actually told me "and??" After I told jet of the guy outside. I had booked the room for 2 more days and decided I didn't want to stay those extra days, but the manager told me she wouldn't cancel my reservation for the next couple nights or not charge me for them even though I was leaving. Horrible!! I'll never stay here ever again. N I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone unless you want your car possibly broken into, or possibly treated like a criminal if you go outside...

I would never stay here again. They say this is a completely non-smoking hotel but with the first room (yes, first) they gave me I was greeted by cigarette smell as I opened the door. Then I looked up and saw someone had put a plastic bag over the smoke detector (Lovely!). I called down to the front desk and explained what happened. They were nice enough to give me another room. But now THIS room that I'm currently in ALSO smells like smoke. I'm not sure if people know this or not but they charge you $250 if you smoke in the room. I think they SHOULD be charged $2,500!

After two room switches the third room smells OK. At least it doesn't smell like smoke.

As I lay in bed, I still smell smoke and it's irritating my lungs. Either people next door are smoking or this old hotel was a smoking hotel at one time do the smell still lingers.

The surrounding area is a little sketchy. It's kind of in this industrial park setting. Weird.

And I think there are people who live here.

The workout room is meh. It's better than some I've seen but the 10 and 15lb dumbbells were missing. And even though there are signs to clean your equipment, they don't provide any way to do it. The wet paper towel roll was out. Also, there was a water dispenser machine but there were no cups and it appeared to be broken, anyway. No towels, either, so bring one from the room.

I know this is only a two star hotel but these are things that can easily be fixed. The attached "store" where they are supposed to have drinks and food and such was pretty bare. I wanted to buy some cereal for breakfast, which they had plenty of, but there was no milk. They also had a coffee machine which would have been nice if they actually had cups to put it in.

The room itself is just okay. It's a bit dated but what do you expect for $90?

Lesson learned: You get what you pay for.

The only two nice things I have to say (so far) is that the guy at the front desk, Kevin, was nice and patient. He deserves a raise. And the shower has great water pressure.

I'll be leaving REALLY early from here to get to my final...
