First time visiting, wouldn’t have expected a sandwich shop tucked away back there. I ordered the #5 Chicken Cutlet (the owner’s favorite) to-go. By the time I got home, about 10 minutes later, the bread couldn’t hold up against the steam and sauce, leaving it borderline mushy. A crustier bread would have added support and texture.
The sandwich itself was about 8–9 inches with a good weight. The chicken wasn’t bad, just a touch salty, but it felt like it needed more balance to cut through the richness. At $18.64 (with tip) for just the sandwich, it’s hard to justify the price, especially when it’s something you could make at home.
I can see the challenge of the location and the effort behind the concept. There’s potential here, but the execution needs some refinement; better bread, balanced flavors, and stronger value for the price point. If those adjustments are made, this could definitely gain...
Read moreHoly cow, this place is amazing. A friend brought me here this weekend because it's been the buzz with our little group. I was treated to the most KILLER pastrami on rye. It had swiss cheese, fantastic mustard and pickles. I orded some potato salad to accompany it, and it was also amazing, but I was so focused and full from that supremely delicious sandwich. My friend had their #5 (Chicken cutlet, vodka sauce, mozzarella, garlic aioli on a Toasted hoagie) and cut a piece for me. I've never had a better sandwich in Albuquerque. My picture doesn't do it justice. He told me they prepare and bread all their chicken cutlets by hand. Seriously, it's a treat and a lot of food. I couldn't eat this every day, but for a treat day,...
Read moreWe were excited to try this place, but I doubt we will go back. Sandwiches are my favorite food, but these are WAY over-priced. We spent $60 on three sandwiches and two tiny sides of chips. We didn't even get drinks! The sandwiches were ok, and just ok unfortunately. The chips were the best part. There is a water spigot on the wall by the bathroom that barely trickles, and it smells like bathroom near the beverage fridge and water spigot. Someone said there is ample seating - There is not. There are about 5 2-top tables. Not worth the price, and I'm the kind of person who will overpay if you have the best sandwiches in town. Maybe this place is new enough they'll take some of the feedback in these reviews and make...
