Summit Electric Supply — Local services in Albuquerque

I'm not a professional so when I went into Summit the staff didn't seem to care or even pay attention to what I was asking for.. I wanted a push button switch to turn on and off a piece of equipment. I had to go back because instead of giving me a switch that stays on or as they call it "maintained" switch they gave me a " momentary" switch. That was after I had repeated what I was looking for several times. That was very disappointing.

As for what was on the floor I was like a child in a candy store. The best part about what they sell is a lot to it is made in China no are you kidding--no the best part about this store is that they serve contactors that require their merchandise be made in the USA so a lot of tools that you could not find in Sears or Lowe's you can find there. For a person that hates buying Chinese--as it is they own us--I can by good old made on the farm OK factories.. As I said you can't even do...

Called at noon to order wire and arrived for pick up at 4:30. Asked if could pay over phone and drive up bec wld have kids in the car and was told I could not. Said I cld just go to counter and let them know my name and cld pay there. Super quick.

Nope. Waited in line for 20 minutes, then when got to counter, wire not yet cut, and wld take 30 - 40 minutes! Said he didn't know why I was told I cldnt pay over the phone. No apology!

While other businesses (like mine) are forced to close for COVID lockdown, this company doesn't seem to be appreciative they are allowed to stay open.

Wld recommend other game in town...

Never ever buy your electrical supplies from Home Depot. Buy them at Summit instead. I was doing a project and one of the things I needed was 150 feet of wire. Summit told me they only sold wire in 500 foot lengths so I decided to go to Home Depot instead so I could get the shorter length. Home Depot was charging the same amount for 150 feet that Summit was charging for 500. I just bought the 500 from Summit because, hey, free wire.
