Happened upon this cute coffee shop while biking around the neighborhood. What a sweet spot! Baristas were very friendly and attentive, the matcha was exceptionally good, and the pastry we tried was so beautifully-baked and not too sweet. The shop was filled with lots of customers but the tables were spread out enough that it didn’t feel overcrowded. They had bike racks out front, which I appreciated!

The only thing for which I was left wanting: I really love some comfier or alternative seating options for shifting/sitting/studying/talk circles and this place was more standard booths/tables/hard wood surfaces. It seemed designed for people to flow in and out rather than hang for more prolonged amounts of time. I also love being surrounded by plants and this place felt more modern/minimalistic. Will definitely come back to try more of their food/drinks,...

I spotted La Luz after taking a wrong turn near where I live and was so excited to see it. Local coffee having a drive thru is uncommon here. The first time I tried it there was a mishap with the lid not being on my hot latte correctly so it spilt on me and all over my new car but I was able to clean in up and the little taste of coffee that was left in the cup was so good I wanted to give it another shot. (It seems their cups are a little flimsy which is my only complaint) but every other time Ive come my lattes have been delicious and the barista Alanna is especially nice. La Luz is my new go to anytime I’m not feeling the drip coffee I can make at home (which...

This is the best coffee I've ever had. The flavor and aroma are so rich, just what you always hope for when you get coffee. Normally I have to add sugar in order to enjoy coffee, but La Luz coffee doesn't need any sweetener at all. I usually order a latte, and the milk alone is enough to make this the smoothest drink with just a hint of sweetness. It has absolutely no bitter or acid-y flavor. So much better than Starbucks, and La Luz is consistent, while I've found Starbucks to be very up and down as far as flavor goes. The people who work here are great too, always friendly and ready to make a perfect...

Update: 2025- Visited this place to see and feel a total new change! Great customer service, welcoming, and so aesthetically pleasing. Congrats to the new owners/ management. Great work y’all. It was lovely and will be back! The Sunday morning team- is not friendly. Let me be specific if you are BIPOC you will not get the same treatment like the white customers. There was no friendly customer service no greeting at all. It was not during a busy hour either. Also if you’re allergic to bees please be careful the bees are on all utensils and equipment most of the time.

Great coffee, treats, and vibes! Loved the cool indoor and homey and pet-friendly) outdoor seating! We had an americano and a cortado (delightfully bitter espresso) and the kids had a decaf La Luz (vanilla rosemary) latte and a Campo hot cocoa. We also enjoyed and split an amazing pear tart (with brie and fig, I think), a pain au chocolat, an almond croissant, and a strawberry frosted donut. Everything was awesome. Bonus points for genderless restrooms. We'll be back!
