Ordered take-away for the very first time from this restaurant: In a word, It was some of the worst--IF NOT THE WORST--food we've ever had!
We enjoy trying out local restaurants (that are new for us) & decided to give this one a try. I always base my decision on trying/buying anything new after reading the reviews. In this instance, much of the feedback were at best kind (seemingly from regulars who now noticed a difference in how the food had changed in terms of taste, ingredients used, preparation, etc., but, nonetheless, decided to remain loyal patrons.) Others were not so kind--I should have listened, but instead, broke my own rule & decided to order anyway.
We decided on the "Dinner for 4", which included Egg rolls, at least 3 different chicken entrees, a sichuan beef entree & rice. Sure, one gets a lot of food for the price, & it was somewhat visually appealing; and yes, we were painfully aware that this would not be authentic Asian cuisine, but the usual fare engineered for Americans' taste; but still, ALL that food had no flavor to speak of and tasted no where near what one is accustomed to, even by fake-Chinese food standards!
We had dinner anyway, however extremely distasteful & unpleasant, and decided to just throw the rest of the food out--so, $46 literally down the drain!
Needless to say, we could never recommend this restaurant to anyone & will never again patronize this...
Read moreI have been frequenting this place for years. Its true that one horrid experience can tarnish the whole experience for good. I have a medical condition that makes me sensitive to spicy foods. I ordered my food mild tonight and it was good. However, over 90% of my order (Mongolian Beef) was onions. I literally received a whole dish of onions. Now, I"ve never complained with this establishment before and I am a frequent visitor. I called to complain for the first time and was received with such utter rudeness and dismissiveness that I was apalled. I even decided to go talk to her face-to-face only to be laughed at to my face. When I asked for the owners info they said he lived out of the country. I left and called the restaurant again to try to gain owner info only to be answered by a guy who threatened me. You try to be open-minded about immigrants but this was clearly a situation where immigrants stand together and bully the system. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. THE OWNER IS NOT AVAILABLE, THE MANAGER COULD CARE LESS AND THE STAFF IS RUDE AND THREATENING.....this, after years of providing them with money to run their establishment. The thanks we get for welcoming them into our community I guess. SHAME ON THEM and SHAME ON JANICE FOR BEING THE INSTIGATOR IN ALL OF THIS when she could have handled this a different way from...
Read moreI had always been meaning to come to the Rose Garden as it had been around for close to 30 years. Finally, today I came into the rose garden. I was pleasantly surprised, I didn't know what to expect. I was immediately greeted pleasantly as soon as I walked in the door. I explained it was my first time and that I needed a little bit of time to decide what I wanted. I had some questions and the young lady answered every one of them.
As I was there during lunch time, I ordered the lunch special which comes with fried rice, egg roll and a choice of soup. My choice was chicken with cashew nuts and wonton soup. My home meal came to a little under $10. When my food came out my soup was in a to go container filled to the very top and had three large wontons. I've never seen wontons that large before. The soup was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about eating all of it as I wouldn't have room for the rest of my lunch. The fried rice, chicken with cashews and the Egg Roll were delicious. The portions were large and I could not eat it all and I am a big eater.
The restaurant was clean, floor swept, tables cleaned off add wiped down.Tthere were booths and tables and chairs. I thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the...
