You gotta work your way here through a bit of an industrial/business area, but it is worth it when you do. SSMC has a vintage cigarette pack coolness infused with art vibe. There is an art studio next door that you can see through a big window inside the building. SSMC is both cafe roastery and brewery tasting room. You feel both things. There is a tall chair bar if you want to stop for a pint and a large seating area with tables and couches for lounging. Out back there is a patio (with a local street scene mural) that is outside yet covered and portions of it are protected from the wind. They thought it out. The owner is behind the bar brewing coffees when I arrive, and he mentions he's working on a fresh pot. We talk about how SSMC has been a great stop for cyclists and motorcyclists, alike, to add to their ride stops. There is room for a large group and decent sized off-street parking lot to accommodate the crowd. My coffee is a batch-brewed Mexico Chiapas. I admit, I wondered if SSMC was more designed cool than legit coffee spot, but I was really pleased with my coffee. It was perfectly extracted and very flavorful, a great companion for the ride east towards the...

I was there as a customer a few weeks back and witnessed unprofessional behavior from one of the managers toward an employee that just still doesn’t sit right with me . From my observations, the employee had asked to leave early. She was obviously very pregnant, and it had been a very busy shift as I was there for a minute . I don’t know what happened when the manager took her to the back, but when they returned, the manager made a comment about the poor pregnant worker, saying that “she’s just using not being able to walk as an excuse to leave work early.”

As a pregnant woman myself, this was highly insulting. Eventually, the employee ended up in tears — it broke my heart to see. I’m writing this so Google and their Sunday Service customers are aware of who they’re supporting: employers who do not understand life, empathy, or ADA rights.

If the employee sees this, I hope you filed complaints with the state of New Mexico girl. And to the manager -...

Sunday Service Motor Company (SSMC) is one of our go-to spots in Albuquerque. The service is consistently fantastic, and the drink menu covers everything from expertly brewed coffee to craft beer and cocktails. You really can’t go wrong with any of their beers, but the Killswitch Kölsch and the IRA (Irish Red Ale) are definite standouts.

During soccer season, this is the place for us to catch Bayern Munich matches. The ownership and staff have been incredibly welcoming to our group, New Mexico Roten, and have created a real sense of community. If you haven’t been yet, SSMC is absolutely worth...

What a cool combo: coffee, pastries, great beer, and a DIY motorcycle repair zone! We bumped into Kevin at an event, and he was a super nice dude, so we knew we had to swing by his brewery. It did NOT disappoint – even the kiddos were stoked to hang out! The place has this chill, laid-back atmosphere and is sparkling clean and fresh. The crowd was super friendly, with people working on their laptops or just kickin' back with a book. This spot's gonna be a go-to for us, and we'll be coming in often. Do yourself a favor and give it a whirl!
