Our waitress was new so she kept having to go back and forth to ask questions about our order then still messed it up lol

She then brought out a smoothie instead of a juice and then brought me out a drink after I specified I was vegan that contained dairy chocolate. I assumed it was vegan being that it is a vegan restaurant and had absolutely no mention of the drinks not being vegan!

The tom ka soup tastes like wet dog and wasn't very delicious at all

The dumplings were bland

The waitress then left and we got someone else who wasn't much help

They offered to remove the drink from my bill for me and then didn't lol I had to go to the register and ask them about it.. which the tall dark haired guy behind the counter was super rude about as if the restaurant didn't severely mess up.. he should really check himself before talking to people like that bc you don't know who might not be so calm about the situation. Raising your voice and yelling "it'll get taken care of" was pretty crazy. Giving someone milk chocolate in a vegan restaurant was also pretty crazy. Hope he gets the customer service training and the future he deserves which hopefully is being fired.

The bathroom was dirty and the soap dispenser was empty

This place just wasn't it for me. Everyone in there...

I am always down with dining in a Route 66 business, especially one that is not a corporate chain. It’s not that I despise them. It’s just that the smaller businesses need our support, too, and often have far better food anyway.

And that’s exactly what I think about Thai Heritage and Vegan, a place I have now dined at three times. Located on Central SE in the Nob Hill area (and thus right on the Mother Road), it has a ring side seat to the mix of locals and heritage tourists making their way down this road.

This time I had the Green Curry Pad Thai, and it did not disappoint. Service was fast, the presentation top shelf, and the flavor spot on. My Pad Thai packed just enough heat to make it memorable, but not so much that I left crying. I especially liked how I was brought several Thai and southeast Asian chile sauces so that I could flavor my meal as I deemed fit.

The decor of this restaurant is very elaborate. The bar indicates that this is not a run-of-the-mill Thai establishment, but one of the finer. I marveled at the statuary and art, all conveying an atmosphere that was far from Albuquerque.

Yes, I will be back again. This is a great place, and if you fancy a vegan twist on Thai favorites, you cannot...

This place almost killed my sister.

I made a reservation and noted to them that she was deadly allergic to peanuts. As she is vegan, I thought this would be a good place for her to find something to eat on our sister trip. When we got there we also told our waiter that she was again deadly allergic to peanuts. After getting our drinks and one appetizer we waiting almost two hours for our food. I saw families seated after us being served food, so I then just told them to pack our meals up and we would take it to go. It took them another 45 plus minutes and I had to go ask at the desk to remind them that we wanted to go. So after bringing our food back to the hotel, we hoped in the pool, then I hopped into the shower but the moment I did, my sister said she need to be taken to the hospital asap. Even though we had told them on the reservation and in person multiple times, as well as ordered things that did not list peanuts in their description, they put peanuts in her food! All said and done, I spent that evening in the ER with my sister and she recovered. Epi Pens are expensive, and for anyone looking for a good start to a vacation, this was a terrible, expensive, and almost...

Interesting Thai place on Nob Hill. The dishes are all generally vegan with some having the option to add meat if you really want to. We thought the food was generally good. The papaya salad was crisp and felt fresh, and the see-ew was well balanced in my opinion. The pad Thai did feel a bit sweeter (and doesn't have eggs due to the vegan part for those who care). As far as portion size, I was pretty hungry and left pretty full, but it is a bit on the smaller side. A bit of a downside is the decor felt, for a lack of better word, downtrodden. Perhaps it is because we went when there were few people, but without ambient music and half the lights turned off, it felt a bit like an abandoned hotel.

Update: Thank you for addressing this! I came in and had the exact same meal and it was perfect (as is usual). Thank you for making this right! It was terrible tonight. I called in an order for the pad thai dinner, choc chip banana and thai iced tea. My bananas were made early. I said twice that they'd be cold by the time I got my food and got home. Nothing was done or offered. My dinner was supposed to have an eggroll, no eggroll was provided. The tofu was burnt. No dressing for the salad. Very negative experience tonight. I know it was busy, but this is inexcusable. 😕
