In an era where speakeasies have become less clandestine indulgence and more curated nostalgia, Z Lounge manages to carve out its own identity—a moody, unhurried enclave that embraces the art of the cocktail without veering into overwrought theatrics. Its existence is hardly a secret (a fact that likely pleases the owners), yet it retains the effortless charm of a place one stumbles upon rather than seeks out. On a recent visit, the lone bartender—outnumbered, outpaced, yet unshaken—exhibited both patience and precision, a quiet maestro in a symphony of spirits. Even as eight orders stacked against him, his craftsmanship never wavered. If anything, the slight delay only reinforced the bar’s ethos: good drinks take time, and here, they are worth the wait. The space itself is a testament to the speakeasy’s evolution—not a dimly lit, Prohibition-era pastiche but a deliberate, lived-in lounge. Imagine a Route 66 motel reimagined with a designer’s eye: vintage artwork, eclectic furniture, and a certain nonchalance that invites long, lingering conversations. A backroom, unexpectedly expansive, extends the experience, proving that Z Lounge is more than a mere bar—it is a place to stay awhile.

I'm staying at hotel Zazz and didn't even realize the Zima Cocktail Lounge was connected to it. It was a nice little bonus to grab drinks without having to worry about driving back to the hotel. I got something with Coooolada in the name. It was so good that I had 2 and now can't remember the full name! My boyfriend got the Fashion 47 (again not sure on the exact name because it was so good he had 2!). Both drinks were delicious! The ambiance was a "vibe". Lots of heavy, dark velvet fabrics, dried flowers, and vinyls as decor. We really enjoyed our experience and Abrian the bartender was very attentive and talented. Definitely worth a visit!

I love exploring locally owned businesses in the city and I saw this aesthetically appealing bar on instagram and decided to check it out with my partner. We came on a weekday. We entered into a blue lit room. It was empty and there was a couple bartenders who welcomed us in. The inside was beautiful, sophisticated but comforting. There was a record player playing oldies and I loved it. We ordered a couple drinks. I was a fan of the Short Skirt Long Jacket. These aren’t your regular cocktails. They’re unique, classy and one of a kind. I will definitely return.

Cherri or sherry, however you spell it made this experience awful. We saw this place and the great reviews on here so we decided to try it out. Cool little entrance and small but personal bar. Just want to say ABRIAN WAS AWESOME. When we walked in he was the ONLY one serving 28 people for about 20 minutes. The manager was no where to be found.

After ABRIAN took our drink order the first interaction we had with sherry was she brought one drink to the table and didn't say a single word, not a "who has the beer" or anything. Abrian came back a moment later with our other drinks.

We sat for a while talking about our work week on a Friday night, the drunk table next to us was belligerently drunk yapping about how a third world country can't be bad if vacationers go... However sherry thought our conversation which was us complain about the lack of accountabily a Co worker has was "inappropriate" and we should "keep it down" after we all looked puzzled at eachother thinking what we could have said that was inappropriate, ten minutes later the MANAGER Shelly sent her employee Abrian come tell us that she has chosen to close our tab because we were disrespectful.

We didn't say more than 4 words to this woman. She is on some sort of power trip and we will make sure to let everyone know how crazy...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting z lounge, and I have to say, it was an experience I won't forget! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, with dim lighting and comfortable seating that immediately put me at ease.

The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they quickly helped me select a drink from their amazing menu. I ended up trying their doctor’s orders cocktail, and it was absolutely delicious - perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and kick.

What really set this cocktail bar apart, however, was the attention to detail in everything they did. From the beautiful glassware to the expertly crafted drinks, it was clear that every aspect of the experience had been carefully thought out and executed with precision.

And the atmosphere was just as impressive as the drinks themselves. The bar was filled with a mix of locals and visitors, all chatting and laughing and enjoying themselves. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day, and I felt completely at home there.

Overall, I would highly recommend this cocktail bar to anyone looking for an exceptional drinking experience. The drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all top-notch, and I can't wait to...
