Me and my mom had lunch at the wecks on San mateo and central, Tuesday August 15th, bill came to just under 30, we spilt it even, gave waitress our credit cards, waitress left, returned with Individual receipts, pens and card holders, my mom left a 5 dollar cash tip, we signed and went our ways, today, Friday August 18th, my bank shows 2 transactions for wecks, 14.51 and 14.52, both went through. I called wecks and said I was double charged, the manager quickly because defensive saying my mom's card wasn't charged, I paid for both, I said ok then ill just need my money back, i called my mom and she found the receipt in the bottom of her trash can and said yeah, that's not my card number,,, she told me next time she is in area, she will pay her fair, the manager was not ok with this, he became baligerant. I decided to just come in, he was yelling over me on the phone, I just want my refund, I have stage 4 breast cancer, stage 3 lymphedema, which I had just left a 3 for chemo season prior to going to wecks,, and also a broken leg,, after a very heated argument, the manager said he would have to give my information to corporate and they will call me on Monday. I asked his name, he said he didn't have a name, I asked another employee for his managers name, the boy at the door said,, he I didn't know the managers name, I told him, you don't know your managers name??!! Wow, then the boy said today was the managers first day., I asked another girl for the managers name,, she said, just leave already!!! The manager was behind the counter yelling baligerant obscenities at me while I was gathering my crutches, after I left my name and info I threw the pen on the floor in frustration, honestly, in his direction.., he started screaming! Top of his lungs, like a crazy person!! Almost uncurled those perfect locks on top his head!! I hobbled out with my crutches while he was laughing, you can't even walk!!! Laughing at the top of his lungs like he was so funny! I yelled back, I have a broken leg!!! This is when I started asking for his name, to no avail.. he said what sounded like, tell them Hector sent you and kept laughing like a spoiled little punk, many of his staff were standing with him laughing along. Not my fault his waitress is not trained properly.. not my fault she wasn't able to preform her tasks. I told him he should train his staff better, and go through another training.. he should also go back to training.. skinny, curly haired wearing sunglasses inside shirt a size too small,, you are nothing but a punk. I would call you out by name but apparently you...
Read moreOn 04/10/16, requested a table and was seated quite promptly. A very hectic, yet, full house of customers.
It was George that quickly asked while I was waiting if I desired a beverage. He was waiting on his own set of tables. My waiter was Stefan and when he placed my order wrote a-l-l down and I waited 35 minutes for my order. After Stefan had brought my food, I noticed the side dressings were omitted. He brought them. During my eating, it was GEORGE, again, that asked if I needed a refill and I took him up on it. Stefan is apparently new and learning the ropes. Only returned to render my tab and inquire if I desired a dessert. The fries AND onion rings were smaller portioned sized than in past instances.
One of the co-managers, wearing a black shirt but with an attitude AND n-e-v-e-r introducing himself, walks all around and gravitated to the waitress that had her family dining there three separate instances. His name is Luis and needs to inquire at MORE of the tables, that he flies by without introducing himself, or taking ownership of his job. There are excellent wait-staff at the Louisiana and Montgomery, N.E. location, but I was disappointed in what transpired. The young man that seated me........a senior in high school..........takes ownership of his job and needs to train Luis on interacting........interfacing........engaging.....with the clientele. Visiting with wait-staff and those he knows in the facility diminishes his outreach to the customers. I won't visit this location in the near future. Again, great interaction, George. You were handling quite a bit, but are to...
Read moreI visited this Weck's on 6/29/21 (it was my birthday) around 11am and I was not disappointed!! I ordered a Big Breakfast Burrito, and when it arrived, I opened it and saw there were eggs inside (I forgot to tell our server no eggs) I was able flag down our server and explain my error. She asked if I would like to have a fresh one made without the eggs (by this time I was taking the eggs out) to eat it. I said yes, I would like a fresh one, but wanted to keep the first one (I don't believe in wasting food) and said she would have to ask the manager if that was possible. I said it would be fine and the manager brought me my freshly made Burrito. I said thank you to the manager as well as our server. The outcome was a good one all the way around (manager could have said we can't do what you asked). I was able to keep the first Burrito and take it to my friend. That is what I call customer service!! Above and beyond to please the customer! I have never had a bad experience at Weck's and will continue to give my business to this particular one! I also wasn't charged for 2 burritos even though it...
