Unimpressed. Sorry, not a "sports bar" atmosphere/restaurant type person. I don't care for sports and I find this type of atmosphere uncomfortable and distracting. If you enjoy sports and are not bothered by lots of noise and commotion, you may really enjoy Kickback. I am temporarily spending much time in Maryville and two friends suggested we have an early Friday night dinner here. Prior to my visit. I'd never heard about nor encountered a Kickback Jack's. My friends spoke very highly about it, and it was packed. Arriving at 4 pm, the dining room and parking lot was buzzing and nearly full. Obviously , this is a very popular restaurant. Surprisingly, we were seated immediately. The dining room and facilities are immaculate. Everything looks new. I'm assuming this is a recently opened restaurant. The menu is large and has a diverse selection of food options. The menu includes everything from burgers, chicken, salads, sandwiches, steaks, flatbreads, and complete entrée meals. I ordered the chop steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. My meal was good, but I would not order this again. I'm more of a salad person and I should have tried one of the salads. The salads looked and sounded enticing, its my mistake for not ordering! My friends were both happy with their dinner; one ordered the mushroom burger and the other had fish and chips. The service was pleasant and efficient. However, our server did one thing that is one my biggest "pet peevs"; bringing the check when we were only halfway through dinner. Never asking about dessert (not that I need dessert!). I felt rushed and a little unwelcome at this point. The dining room and bar area is covered with large screen TV's, all, of course, broadcasting sports. The noise level is moderate here, not the best place to visit if you wish to converse with your table mates. Personally, I don't care to revisit. Although I'm obviously in the minority here, seeing the huge crowds, Kickback is not a personal favorite. However, go see and experience for yourself. You may...
Read moreFirst let me say, I understand they are still fairly new & just getting everything worked out. However, There were 3 of us & all 3 orders were not what we ordered to it's entirety. Also, let me say the waitress was NOT the one at fault here. It was 100% the kitchen on this one.
My daughter ordered Sirloin & grilled shrimp w/loaded mashed potatoes. She received, Sirloin w/plain mashed potatoes, & a basket of plain fries. My son-in-law ordered Sirloin w/plain mashed potatoes, & green beans. He received a Ribeye. They got his green beans & potatoes correct but for whatever reason brought him a completely different steak than what he ordered. Mine was more surprising than it was wrong. I ordered the Philly cheese steak with cheese fries. My fries were plain although I ordered cheese fries. But what had me so confused was, they call it a Philly cheese steak sandwich but the steak is completely shredded, there's absolutely NO green pepper or onion on it & the provolone cheese isn't even melted onto the sandwich, it comes on the side. Call me crazy if you want but, that's definitely NOT how a Philly is served!! Needless to say I was not impressed but because our waitress was so nice & honestly just as confused as we were she's the only reason we gave them 3 stars. The manager did come take all the food off the ticket (that we didn't eat) but, after looking at the bill one last time before proceeding to pay we noticed they left the basket of fries on the ticket that we didn't even order to begin with. So we had to have them remove that item as well since we never ordered nor eat any of the food.
Definitely needs improvement & we may try again in about 3 months or so once they've actually been here for a while. I'm just not impressed with the kitchen. I'm also not quiet sure how one confuses a sirloin for a ribeye. That one is definitely a...
Read moreWell today 7-10-24 my mother asked me if I wanted to meet her and my stepfather and my wife there for dinner after I got off work and picked up my daughter and so I said yes. I'll meet you there so we showed up a little bit late. But nevertheless we got our table and ordered drinks. My mom got a margarita on the rocks and my wife got liquid 420. Won't say my moms age, but I'm 39 and she had me in her thirties, but when she says a drink ain't got booze in it, she means it. Same for my wife's drink it was very watered down even though it was on the rocks. We got fish and chips. Philly cheesesteak slab of ribs, sirloin steak and a chicken tenders basket for dinner. The steak was undercooked. It was supposed to be medium. Well it was definitely very on the medium side. The fish and chips were horrible. Philly cheesesteak was good. My daughter liked it but the ribs was probably the best part. The honey mustard that came with the chicken tender basket was so runny. As you can see in the video it literally just dripped right off. We asked our server for extra ketchup because ours was empty four times and he never brought it to us. We just went and got it ourselves from another table and my wife asked for garlic butter for her steak. 40 minutes later he finally came back and said oh we didn't have any garlic butter after asking him repeatedly if they had garlic butter. I'll definitely go back again and try the wings because I love wings but this first overall impression that's why I gave it three stars or two stars I believe because it just was not what we all thought...
