Eisenhower Cafe — Restaurant in Alexandria

This place is a dirty dive! The woman cooking DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS OR WEAR GLOVES!! I had the French ( with a little light dust of cinnamon) toast platter, yucky 🤮. I asked for scrambled eggs and got a omelette and the cheese wasn't even melted!! The nasty attitude Hispanic female burnt my sausage on purpose I believe for some reason!! I noticed money just laying on the cutting board where food is prepared. There is a reason they have the back counter window covered up, they don't want people to see just how disgusting they are!! They are lazy and everything is pre cooked!!! Hard stale bacon, lumpy leftover grits, pre cooked sour scrapple!! Burnt pre cooked sausage! Use caution eating at this filthy place. The two lazy Hispanic females don't even take the time to wipe the tables down or anything else for that matter!!!!! Im going back to take pics...

I've eaten here twice before and the service was fast, prices were reasonable, and the food was excellent! We came today at 1:40pm for pancakes and bacon but when we arrived the Open sign was turned off and the ladies told me they had already put everything away and were about to shutdown, which I found ridiculous! It looked like they'd had everything put away for quite some time since they were actively cleaning at that time. If you ask me, a restaurant should take orders until closing time, but perhaps...

little café across the street from a business I frequent. stopped by for breakfast and was greeted by a super friendly and quick staff. I'm pretty sure I spoke to the owner and he was incredibly friendly! food was good and reasonably priced. will definitely be returning! I had no idea this place was here before, they could probably afford some better signage on the streets because it's kind of hidden. there aren't many restaurants or cafés along the eisenhower stretch and this place deserves more...
