Armistead Boothe Park — Attraction in Alexandria

This little treasure of a park is a great way to mentally escape and enjoy the great outdoors. It seemed like the paths went on forever! This is a place where I could walk all day and not have a care in the world. Our hiking group walked about 4.3 miles around the loop and even though it was hot, it was an enjoyable time. We saw geese, turtles, beautiful flowers, and a variety of birds as we meandered our way through the city on the obscure trails. I had no idea these walkways were so close to areas I drive around almost everyday! These trails make up one HUGE park system and I look forward to exploring...

While Visiting My Son and Grandson They Took Me There for "Playtime"!! Plenty of Parking, a Large Gazebo with Lots of Seating( Which was Very Welcome Since It was a "Scorching" Day)!! The Playground was Large, Clean and Very Well Padded!! They Have Water Fountains and Bathrooms that Were OK!! Park Benches, and a Basketball Court Were Also at the Site!! My Grandson Loves It There and Makes Friends with the Other Children Playing which is Uber...

The park set up is a tad bit dangerous for those under three years old. Also, unsupervised children can play rough here, I've been here about ten times. There is one working waterfoutain. There are benches for sitting around the play ground. The places for eating can be and are usually reserved and in use, especially on the weekends.
