i like nandos. the food was even better here than other nandos i've visited. often, the service is crummy at nandos. here, the service was horrible. seated quickly, handed paper menus and plastic ware in a cellophane envelope. were told we could order by scanning the qr code or at the counter. opened up the paper menu in there was old food from another diner in it. one of the other menus was sticky. gross. entered the items to order on our phones from the scanned code. site got hung up to order at this locale, went to the counter to order. there, the employee actually interrupted taking my order to chat with a coworker. repeated my order back to me three times. each time, I told him yes, that's correct. then he'd repeat it to me again. i asked if we could have regular silverware instead of the plastic, he said yes, they'd bring it to the table. went to get fountain drink --no ice in the machine. asked nearby employee, he said he'd take care of it. server brought the food, we asked him for silverware, mentioned that counter guy said he could bring it. he said sorry, unavailable. asked him for an additional plate so we could share, said he'd bring it right over. asked him if there was ice yet, he said yes, he thought so. returned to soda machine, no ice yet. began eating. realized they'd never brought over the sangria we'd ordered. went to the counter, asked for the sangria, the server said he'd bring it over. he did! promptly! went and checked for ice again. still no ice. asked a different employee. he said he'd go check on it. i returned to the table, finished eating. usually at nandos, they check on the table. not here. one last try for ice. asked the first guy I had asked again. he said "they're talking in the back about what to do." never got the plate to share. this place is next to a grocery store. they could have sent someone to buy ice. between 630 and 715p on a sunday, you would think they might know they'd need ice. and...
Read moreI have been here before bringing tour groups of 40+ people with prior reservations for groups this large. I am a tour director. Today, 6.24.25, I brought a group of 41 people. I had everyone sit to ensure seating, short 1 seat, no worries. One of the employees, long black hair in a ponytail, beautiful brown skin said to have them get their drinks. I did. The manager, Kenisha, introduced herself to me and I to her. I then asked as I was sending tables up 2 at a time to cut down on crowding, if she could begin serving food so I can have 2 lines moving and get the already hungry group eating. She said no and walked off. We were done with drinks and I had to ask the ponytail girl to start serving the food so the kids can eat. She smirked, laughed then walked in the back where from her reaction, there was comedic, i'm in charge attitude and disposition. The manager then went into the heater and pulled out the tray of chicken sat it on the table and still we were waiting. I started sending tables up to be serves and ponytail made a face. The company I work for and others spend THOUSANDS of dollars at this location alone. I'm talking 5-digits. If we report back that the service was not good or any issues at all, they will be off our vendor list QUICKLY. Kenisha, needs to understand we have a schedule to keep and make adjustments as needed. We understand a business with limited seating therefore when they are serving our large groups, and the Director asks to have the food served, understand we know exactly what we are doing and how to move our group to give them their space back and to keep our schedule in tact. I'm not at all happy with the service this time but the food remains delicious. OAN If the Director of the group asks for the fountain lemonade WHY are you charging them for it??? You would rather lose $1000 than give 1 $4 drink to the person that brought the group? Make...
Read moreAfter I placed my order, I received my order partially. My drink(merlot was not provided) but i received my wrap and nata. The wrap was the wrong order as it was a rainbow wrap while I ordered a modified peri peri wrap. It was ice cold (the wrap felt taken freshly out the fridge) to the touch and the chicken within looked old. I went up to the counter to inquire about my drink and the counter person was responsive and brought it over. She was also responsive to my feedback about the ice cold wrap and had it remade and warmed after much back and forth from the cooking area where they claimed modifying the wrap by taking out the rice automatically made it cold and unpalatable. I did notice the servers selectively providing an overview or the restaurant and options to some patrons (male? Younger?) and not others. Overtly Selective treatment is not great and providing cold food and lackluster service based on demographics is not acceptable. I preemptively tip 20 percent with the expectation that staff generally work hard and are fair to all customers. I will say the staff were receptive to feedback and provided the requisite service and items once feedback was provided but it seems like some customers get it at the outset while others have to point things out and advocate for themselves. Staff should be trained in...
