We were seated in a timely matter. That is when things started to go wrong. We waited for over 10 minutes for someone to just take our drink order. It took another 15 minutes at least and we had to ask for someone to take our order. He told us he would be back in three minutes and 33 seconds and it was more like seven minutes. He took our order but he did not seem very confident in knowing the menu. One person order hashbrowns with her meal and he wasn't sure that they even came with it and we had to show him on the menu that it does. I ordered mine as the waffle platter that comes with eggs and bacon and he said it didn't I had to correct him on the menu that it does. He then thought he was done ordering and he completely skipped one other person. Mind you there were only four of us total so not that difficult. After we ordered we waited for at least a half an hour and our food still had not come out. After about 45 minutes of waiting I went up and asked him when our food is going to be out because we needed to leave. He said it would be out in another 10 minutes but they were comping our meal. After another 15 minutes of waiting the food still wasn't out so we asked a different person how much longer because we NEEDED TO LEAVE. Finally after being at the restaurant for an hour and a half and not eating anything we got our food to go and pertained to eat it in the car. But it is not over yet. One person who order chicken strips with Fries got the chicken strip sandwich with no fries another person who ordered an omelette with no onions got onions in her omelette and she didn't get her toast, but she got a piece a hair. I didn't get syrup with my waffles. And we had to eat in the car. try eating a plated dinner in a car! And using plastic silverware. Overall not impressed do not recommend this restaurant next time I'm going to IHOP. In addition we have all this garbage in our car that we have to ride with the rest of the way thank...
Read moreAs a high-schooler who works a lot of nights, I often don’t get the benefit of a nice home-cooked meal. This place has helped deliver a nice warm meal on some of the coldest nights. While even more unfortunately, sometimes I am not off until 11pm, and my only options are Arby’s and Taco Bell. Who even goes to those restaurants? But I never really took the time to think about one glorious restaurant in particular. Perkins. I absolutely love EVERYTHING about this place. I think this place even helped me get a girlfriend. But, I should share with this specific restaurant does greatly. Firstly, they have a Coke Freestyle Machine, which I think might be the greatest thing to ever exist, and there’s always such a wide variety of drink options to choose from. Secondly, the food is so delectable. While a lot of questionable food choices exist on this menu, they have a lot of absolutely amazing offerings, especially the Perky Bear Pancakes.
Lastly, and probably the best part about this place…The night shift staff. While a lot of praise certainly exists for the daytime crew, no one is giving enough praise and credit towards the brave nighttime soldiers of Perkins. The nighttime servers are probably some of the greatest employees of this fine establishment. I have come in on some of the busiest nights with loads of people in the dining area, and these saviors still serve me with a smile on their face. It is so refreshing to see non-robotic individuals in the service industry. Amy and Shay slay this Perkins (plus whoever the nighttime cook is he makes good food).

Read moreEveryone seemed to be seated on top of one another despite the restaurant being nearly empty upon our arrival. We had our toddler with who needs to sit in a high chair, and they sat us next to a table that was full. Normally that would be fine, since I understand there are sections each waitress takes care of. However, people were squeezing in between the older gentleman seated directly behind our baby and our toddler to get to the kitchen. Was very frustrating considering they just needed to walk around the table rather than continue to push through where people were already seated VERY closely for no reason at all. Our waitress seemed annoyed to be helping anyone. The people sitting 6 inches from us asked if they still served shakes... Which were on the menu...and the waitress said "uh well I guess we could make one... It will take a while" as if to deter him from ordering it so she didn't have to make it. We finally got our food. My husband's toast was burnt and while eating all you could hear was waitresses complaining about the amount of customers coming in. Another waitress continued squeezing through between our Child and the other table.. deciding to touch our child on his arm or back or face each time she passed. We do not know her and certainly were not okay with this. Our waitress never checked on us either. We got our receipt to go check out. I waited for 6 minutes for someone to arrive at the counter so I could pay them. Very dissatisfied with this experience. The restaurant was filthy, staff had a terrible attitude and food was...
