Relax Inn — Hotel in Alexandria

My experience with our stay at Relax Inn was for 2 night Friday and Saturday night last weekend. It turned out to be our worst experience ever, so disappointing. I found a bedbug in my bed Sunday morning. I was able to get it in time before it could get away. It was obvious he had bit me. I went to the front desk with the evidence and reported it. My dog was sleeping on the carpet and we found out later Sunday evening after we arrived home his dog bed was full of bedbugs which infested our mini van and then we found he had brought them into our home. I checked his other dog bed Tuesday morning an it was also full of bedbugs. I immediately put it in a black plastic bag and left it on our driveway in the sun. We've had to hire exterminator to kill these awful parasites in our van and have had a full out attack on them by vacuuming our house putting Diatomaceous Earth throughout and keeping a lookout for them. I am beside myself and trying to get back to a normal lifestyle. Stay clear of these motels. This is just wrong for customers and the staff. Motel and the like should be more diligent to make sure that bedbugs are not taking up residence at their...

The staff are amazing here as first the breakfast was amazing with hot breakfast or cold and never ran out of breakfast.The thing that impressed me was how caring they are and listened too my experiences over the last 1 1/2 yrs losing somebody I wanted too marry. Plus having to endure 2 surgeries and 5 months of physical therapy in Alexandria at Knute Nelson but they listened till I was done talking. The room I was in was very nice with big flat screen mounted on the wall. Overall one of best hotels I've stayed at and being 65 I've stayed at a few. I plan on staying again very soon. I also got the opportunity to meet the owner who is a very nice man and that's where it starts from owner down to manager too front desk staff who also listened to my experience of almost dying of cancer. It's not about the dollar signs it's about the caring and compassion staff has and for the manager too be only 23 or 24 is amazing that he has the compassion that he has. Coming into a motel for a wedding we were attending up in Alexandria which we never had been too so we definitely were unsure how the stay would be but rest assure it was awesome! Chris and Randall had me and my family laughing multiple times we enjoyed our stay and the many many conversations!!! The need too be a comedian for side gigs i mean they are hilarious! They are some rare folks you find now days and we truly enjoyed our stay and they made it THE BEST , Again if yall see this We miss laughing we need to come back...
