ALDI — Local services in Alexandria

Hi, This is not a review... Hi, I just went shopping early in the afternoon at the Aldi in Alexandria, Thursday, Feb 4, like I do every two weeks. Today I left a whole bag of groceries back there...I live 45 minutes away and couldn't just turn around and go back to retrieve it. There is no a phone number for the store so I couldn't call and let them know about it. I wanted to let them know about that my bag, a Trader Joe's bag with my paid groceries in it is still there. I know it was my mistake and hope one of the employees there picked it up. I have my receipt and would like to get them next time I go there.

A few supplies for the van now that the sun is starting to shine and I feel confident that I'll have enough battery on board for a few days. Bread, cheese, meat even a bag of chips today.

This ALDI is laid out the same as others I've been to lately including Mount Pleasant SC and Fort Myers FL and Addison IL. Dry goods at the entrance, produce, fresh foods, deli, canned and bottled, cleaning and housewares, meats, frozen. And yes, the "Aisle of Awesomeness" though I didn't see anything today that would work in the Sprinter van.

You'll need to remember to bring a quarter for the shopping cart (you get it back when you return it) and reusable bags because ALDI charges for plastic bags. It's all about keeping the prices low and yes, they...

It was okay. It was my first time there and it was confusing. The staff sit in chairs at the front counter, which seemed fine. However I didn't feel like there were too excited to help a newbie with a baby. One made comment I didn't appreciate as a single mother with a baby, basically where they expected me to help them while holding a baby versus them offering help to me. I just think they need to be a bit more thoughtful or careful with how they say things. The products seemed good. The shopping carts we're confusing. You have to put in a quarter but it gives the quarter back when you return it. So kind of cool.
