The food is good. The wait staff are friendly. I eat take out from here often. As others have mentioned parking can be a pain but that’s not really something I hold against them. We dined there today for lunch and at the end of our meal the waitress asked if we would like our drink refills in to go cups to take with us. I wasn’t planning on it but it was a nice thought and since it’s so hot out said sure. When we got to the register I noticed we had been charged for the to go drinks extra on top of our order. I asked her about it and she apologized for the misunderstanding, but didn’t change our ticket. I got the sense she felt nervous because her boss was nearby. I really feel like this upsell tactic is a scam, or fleecing, of patrons. Had I known I wouldn’t have accepted the “offer”, and for large parties that could add quite a hefty unexpected sum to the bill. If you’re going to do this please be upfront about it, and if you aren’t and someone complains at least offer to make it right or give them the opportunity to then decline the beverage and have it removed from their bill. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you’ve just had a really nice dining experience and feel hoodwinked at the end.
Edited to add: Thank you for your reply. I did consider approaching the owner to bring it up but due to the circumstances needed to just pay the bill and go. I think you should know that we were charged FULL PRICE for the to go cups. Also, the server apologized for not letting us know in advance and said she would take it off but couldn’t because the owner was right there. She seeemed scared to make it right because she would get in trouble. You may want to address these issues in house to prevent future...

Oh, to be a Westerner, with drive-thru options unfolded upon roads of grease. To be raised in a castle of aluminum cans of Chef Boyardee and lulled thru pestilence with rivers of processed noodles waterboarded in chicken broth. To ease our minds of the shadows dancing on walls of lonely caves with plastic-bedded television dinners of corpse-like chicken fingers. Have we fallen so far, to consume like scavengers, in a thirty-minute reprieve, snatched betwixt a gas station and a failing party store? Alas, once I was blind. But now? Now, by the grace of 4722 Jackson Street, I see. The smell alone cannot be understated. Tis mere laughter, tis mere whisper of the choir, a hushed murmur of song wafting like a free spirit in the air, blessing every carton, every surface, every bag it is released into the world with. The steam buns arrived first. Should they be found on a plastic plate in a dining room? No. They should be preserved only to be given on alters to the gods of old. The gods of the deep. The gods of above. Yet, mere humans, for the wringing out their souls of impurity of ignorance, may partake, if only to cleanse their palate of the outside world. But at the bottom of a bowl of P9, I found my soul. The moment my tongue tasted the broth alone, a cry of repentance for the lifetime of sleeping with grease and butter escaped my lips. The salt in my veins cried, "Unclean! Unclean!" Like an exorcism, my soul felt pure. Rivers ran clean. The air tasted like the top of a freshly-snowed mountain. I am not a deeply religious person. But I found a higher plane of living in the...
Read moreI've visited this restaurant previously when I'm in town on business and was looking forward to getting a wonderful meal. I walked in the restaurant and it was busy like it usually is. I stepped up to the podium waiting for someone to acknowledge me so I could get a menu and place a to-go order. I believe it took about three minutes before a young man spoke to me and I informed him that I would like to place a to-go order. He gave me a menu and told me that he would be right back. I literally stood there in front of the podium waiting for an additional 15 minutes before I decided to finally walk up to the register to place my order. Granted they were busy, however the young man could've at least spoke with someone else and asked them to take my order. I placed my order and I decided to go run a few errands while they prepared my food. I picked up my order and checked to make sure everything was correct (I ordered spring rolls and chicken pho) before leaving. They give plentiful servings of all the fixings for the pho! Once I returned to my room and began to prepare my pho I noticed that the broth was a bit on the oily side. Not sure if they have changed the way they prepare their broth but I don't remember the broth being oily. Overall the spring rolls and pho were delicious, I just didn't appreciate the long wait to...
