Taco Bell Cantina — Restaurant in Alexandria

THE...WORST...TACO BELL...Placed an order via the app on my phone while we were on our way to this restaurant, hoping to pick up the order by the time we reached. Instead, there was no order waiting in the pickup shelves although the app clearly said that the order was ready, so I went over to speak to one of the staff at the counter and he was completely unwilling to help me find my order. He just pointed me back to the shelf and asked me to check there. I told him that the order status clearly says that it is "Ready" but I don't see it. All he said is that I should wait for it. He would not check with his teammates or in the system to see if the order was being prepared or if it was actually ready. I asked to speak to the manager, so he called the manager but the manager just shook his head to indicate that he did not want to talk to me. That's got to be the worst/rudest manager I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. All I could do was wait without any hope of assistance at the order pickup counter, hoping for a miracle. After a couple of minutes, one of the staff that was preparing the orders asked me my name and asked me to go back to the counter where I'd spoken to the first guy. This time, the guy at the counter asked for my name and found my order on a different shelf and handed it over to me. All in all, it took more than 10 min for them to find my order while several others were picking up their orders without any issues. Every member of the staff in this location needs some serious level of customer service training and the manager really needs to be dealt with severely (not like lose his job or anything but given a serious reprimand...

COMBO MEAL: GRILLED CHEESE STEAK BURRITO COMBO MEAL WITH CRUNCHY TACO SUPREME AND LARGE DRINK (CUSTOMIZED) I ordered the grilled cheese steak burrito WITHOUT seasoned rice and had them ADD black beans, potatoes, onions and tomatoes. They prepared a ground beef burrito (not grilled) and a soggy taco supreme without sour cream. This is the worst Taco Bell ever. There is always an issue with an order. These are the most incompetent people that work at this Taco Bell. It needs to be shut down. Additionally, their items are priced higher than all other Taco Bell locations. This is my last resort Taco Hell. I only ordered from here because my husband did not feel like driving to the location on Richmond highway (preferred location).

Again, slow service, incompetent workers. This taco bell needs new management. Such a disappointment. Will never ever order from here again.

Here is the kicker. My husband took the order back for them to prepare it correctly. The manager apologized and said he would make the entire order himself to ensure accuracy. Guess what?? Wrong!!! The manager didn't prepare the order correctly either. Again, the entire Taco Bell needs to be shut down and all the workers retrained. I only ask for the seasoned rice to be removed and to add potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. The manager removed all the ingredients! It's apparent that customized orders throw them for loop!!! I seriously believe the people at this location are incompetent. I made an order tonight via Uber eats and it was delivered in a timely manner, but when we got our order it was all wrong. I can’t blame the driver on this because he took what he believed to be ours since our name was on the ticket attached to the order. But it wasn’t. It was twice the amount of food we ordered, but out of the many items in it, only two tacos were correct. Nothing else! Uber refunded us and I reordered (because I love the misery) the missing items. The order takes much longer this time, but the driver got to us really quickly after picking up. And while the total items were correct, they managed to mess it up…again. Messing up items that had extras added to them that didn’t get put on, and not even putting in the easiest items. Sauces people, you grab a handful and throw them in. I literally put a certain number on each flavor, but they skipped em all together. One of my first jobs was at a Taco Bell in central Ks and we took a lot of pride in our job and made things exactly as they were ordered. Our store was spotless and hella busy. I understand we’re coming out of a pandemic and people are lazy and don’t wanna work. But at least take some pride in what you do and get orders right to make those that do want to pay the people that did come to work at least happy that they choose you for their meal option.
