I’m very disappointed with the customer service that I experienced today not from my friendly waitress but from the owner, himself. Firstly I was sitting outside, which I’ll let you know, don’t sit outside unless you have time to kill, know the owner or are a big party of mostly white people(in fact this might not be 100 percent the case because as I read other negative reviews, many of them were from white customers). I firstly was asked to move to another table, which I was seating in for over 2 hrs- and had ordered drinks and hookah, for a bigger party who technically could have been seated anyway else outside or inside. I should have not agreed to it for I’m a paying customer and technically was seating there first but I was willing to be flexible. Before I was asked to move I order a salad, I repeat, a salad. I inquired on the status of my salad roughly 45 mins later and the waiters said she will check with the kitcken. 15 mins later, still no update yet the same table that I was asked to relocate for, received their appetizers. At this point, I was irritated and had to go inside to cancel my order and expressed to one of the kitchen employees that this was unexceptable customer service and to please provide my check because at this point I’m leaving. As I was packing up my bag and waiting for the check. My waitress informed me that the owner, who at first I thought she said the manager, wanted to speak to me. Now I’ve come to this facility numerous times and overall services is slow but I’ve never felt disrespected; until today. The owner comes out to address me and he already seemed more irritated than I was, like he was the one who was relocated and didn’t receive his food. He asked me how I was doing and as I proceeded to explain why I was frustrated and what occurred; he abruptly cutted me off and said well yes we had receipt paper issues. I then said, I’m not sure what that has to do with the food but the fact that no one could follow up with me with regards to why my food was being delayed and that the table who came after me received their food, is confusing. Now mind you this was what I was trying to say but before I even got fully into my sentence, he rudely and abruptly cuts me off and said “it’s on the house”. And I then said, could you not cut me off please. And he started speaking louder saying, “ what more do you want, I said I was sorry”. Which by the way, I’m not sure if you recall there was no way in the first part of my story did i mentioned him apologizing. At this point I had to take a deep breathe because I can see this man clearly has no form of professionalism or customer service. As I then tried to finish my thought, he then continued, abruptly cutiting off, yet again and said “ I just came out here to say it’s on the house” and walked away. You could have seen the embarrassment on the waitress’ face at which she then tried to apologize on his behalf. I asked her, “that’s your manager”(in complete and utter disbelief), not hearing when she first mentioned owner. She then said with her head down, “ the owner”. I gasped and replied, “that’s the owner, wow he should not interact with customers because he has zero people’s skills!” She then looked even more embarrassed and apologize again. I truly feel sorry for the few decent employees who work there. To imagine working for that type of person, saddens me. ...
Read moreI recently visited Zikrayat Lebanese Lounge, hoping for an enjoyable experience. However, I must say that my visit left much to be desired. Let me break it down for you:
First and foremost, I couldn't help but notice the selective hearing issue among the staff. While it wasn't a complete deal-breaker, it did create a frustrating experience. We found ourselves repeating our orders multiple times, which significantly impacted the overall flow of the meal.
Now, let's dive into the major blunder that occurred during our visit: the mishandling of our order. To our dismay, the kitchen managed to add fries to our sandwiches when we specifically requested otherwise. Not only did this result in an overcharge, but it also left us without the main appetizer of large fries that we had eagerly anticipated. Such an oversight reflected a lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction, leaving us disappointed.
Moving on, the wait time for our drinks and hookah was surprisingly long. While it didn't ruin the entire experience, it did contribute to a sense of impatience and growing frustration. It's essential for any establishment to prioritize prompt service to ensure a pleasant dining experience for its customers.
However, the most egregious issue that unfolded during our visit was the shocking $40 fake surcharge on our bill. This unexplained charge for drinks and hookah refills that we neither ordered nor received was a complete betrayal of our trust. It left us questioning the integrity of the establishment and raised concerns about their practices. This level of deceit is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of an otherwise potentially enjoyable lounge.
Adding to the disappointment was the sneaky nature of this surcharge. It was disheartening to see a lack of transparency from the management, as they conveniently tried to pass off the charge as a mistake. Such behavior erodes trust and leaves customers feeling deceived, a sentiment that I cannot overlook.
To compound matters further, Zikrayat Lebanese Lounge had the audacity to include a 20% gratuity charge on top of the bill without asking for our consent. This practice felt invasive and presumptuous but fine. the thing that grinds my gear is that they had the nerve to request an additional tip at the bottom of the bill. This double-dipping into our pockets was both disrespectful and greedy, leaving a sour taste in our mouths.
In conclusion, my visit to Zikrayat Lebanese Lounge was marred by multiple disappointments and questionable practices. While the issue of selective hearing and the wait time for drinks and hookah were relatively minor, the mishandling of our order, the fake surcharge, and the audacious inclusion of a gratuity charge and request for an extra tip were major concerns. I cannot recommend this establishment, as their actions demonstrated a lack of integrity and respect for their customers. I hope that they address these issues promptly and take steps to regain trust and provide a more genuine and transparent experience...
Read moreI will not recommend this place to my worst enemy!! Thanks to this place my celebration for my engagement party on 4/26 was ruined and therefore I will spend half of my day today on the internet to write up how I really feel about this place!! I made reservations for 8 people, on 4/26 at 4:13pm , 4 of which drove down from New York!!!!! I had a missed call at 5:47 from this place. Then a text was sent to me at 8:09 requesting I call back and confirm. I WAS ON THE SHOWER AT THE TIME AND NOT TO MENTION I WAS RUNNING AROUND ALL DAY SHOPPING, GETTING MY HAIR AND NAILS DONE! I CALLED THEM BACK ATY 8:35 FOR THEM TO TELL ME THEY COULD’NT GET A HOLD OF ME AND THEY GAVE MY TABLE AWAY?!?! At that point I wanted to speak to a manager , who the lady on the phone claimed wasn’t there!! Mind you when I made the reservation I emphasized that it was for an engagement celebration! I called back a few times to speak to the Manger and again I was told there was no manager available! I asked, well when will one be available? The lady on the phone told me at about 9:30, I begged and pleaded for them to accommodate me for my celebration and all I got several times was I am sorry?? Well I am sorry to have to put this dump on Blast. Oh, did I mention how horrible the service was on my Big 50 Birthday back in October? How about when I went back in Nov and waited 45 minutes for my hooka. The couple sitting next to me got theirs before me and I was there way before them. I gave them another chance his past Saturday. Well 3 strikes and they are out and out for good! Thank you Baladna for accommodating my party at last minute! I WIL CONTINUE TO GO TO BALADNA AND FOR WHEAT THEY DID FOR ME I WILL PROMOTE THEIR PLACE ALL OVER THE Washington area! The second they heard it was an engagement party they went above and beyond to get us a table and mind you they were booked die to the famous UTNI that was playing there that evening. Really Zikreyat? I spit in your faces for your lack of customer service?? Why make a reservation if you are not guaranteed a table? This is only the beginning of my wonderful reviews!! You ruined my engagement I will do everything in my power to...
