I'm not sure why this place has lower ratings. When we looked up reviews it had only 3.5 stars.
We had a great experience. It was a late lunch/early dinner, so the restaurant wasn't busy and we were seated quickly.
The Eats: My partner ordered the open-face meatloaf that was served with mashed potatoes and gravy. The meatloaf was spot on. Very well-seasoned and with onions and peppers in the loaf, thick-cut portions served over a roll. Honestly, one of the best meatloaf I have ever had made by a restaurant. It really tasted like homemade. Now, the mashed potatoes were very good and gravy was delicious. However, I am not sure the taters are from scratch. The texture was extremely silky, the only time I've had silky potatoes like that was instant. Not that there is anything wrong with that, and this is an assumption because I didn't ask (usually I do but I didn't think I was going to write this).
I had the Rueben sandwich which was served with fries. Both were great. The portions were big, with lots of corned beef. My only complaint is the sandwich was greasy. Now some oil or butter is to be expected, but this was a lot. The fries were perfect, crispy, hot, salty, and fluffy in the center. I borrowed some gravy from my partner's plate for my fries, oh so good.
Lastly, we ordered a piece of the coconut cream meringue pie! This is another one that I'm not sure if it's made in-house, but it is good. The crust was a little bland and crumbly but the custard was smooth and topped high with perfect meringue. Totally worth it. We were walking around town so I didn't feel quite so bad about the fries and pie.
The last thing..the service was a little slow considering how busy they were...well how busy they weren't. We wait a while to place our order, a while to get refills, and a while to get our check. But the service was pleasant. In all a good experience and I suggest...
Read moreHidden behind the warm smiles of Table Talk's wait staff is crippling incompetence. My girlfriend and I ordered french toast, cornbeef hash, and pancakes. For our drinks, we ordered two waters, a coffee, and hot chocolate. The coffee and hot chocolate came out fast, but the waters never came. We then waited 45 minutes for our dishes to come out. Multiple tables seated after us got their food before us, albeit those tables were complained that they got the wrong orders or that they did not get their drinks. When we asked the waitress, she said our food "would be right up." We waited 5 more minutes, and she came back and said "I just checked with the kitchen and your food will be here in 2 minutes." When she came back five minutes later, she was armed with a single sandwich for my girlfriend. We told her we didn't order a sandwich, and that I was waiting for food too. She got flustered, and it was apparent that she had completely forgotten what our order was and had not put it in in the first place. I put $10 on the table for our coffees and hot chocolates and we walked out.
I REALLY wanted to like this place. But their service is ATROCIOUS. It's a weird paradox, because the wait staff and management seem like genuinely good, nice people. But they can't run a restaurant. Maybe there was a time when the experience here was good, but it seems like that time has long passed. Sadlly, I won't be wasting my time here again.

Read more2/5🌟 My low review does not have to with the food or the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely. This review has to do with our waitress. A waitress who apparently was lost in the damn sauce and did not put in our order correctly. 1. She took our menus away from us while we were waiting for our friend to arrive. She took it as if we weren't looking to see what we were going to order. We had to ask for new menus. 2. She did not write my order down correctly nor my friends. I had specifically asked for their corned beef hash with toast in which I did not received. 3. My friend had asked for salsa. The picture shows what she had given to my friend. Apparently it's holiday sauce. If you didn't have salsa why not just say that?! 4. She took another order two tables down from ours. The customer was calling her saying "excuse me miss...miss ..excuse me miss" she just kept ignoring him until my other friend had gotten her attention to let her know that a customer was calling her. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Because of our experience with this waitress, we won't be coming back to this restaurant. It's sad because their food was so good but the service was...
