Maybe it was a Monday night but the food did NOT live up the reviews posted and I was even missing an item from my order.
Spicy Crazy Noodle w/Chicken - not in the least spicy and bland in flavor. That said I did like the noodles. The chicken was just OK.
Pad See Eiw - definitely more favorable than the Spicy Crazy Noodles but still a little bland.
Pork Pot Stickers (steamed) - average. I did like the potsticker shells but like the other items not a lot of seasoning. No ginger nor any oil (like most but my favorites do have oil).
Wonton Soup - very bland and a different flavor profile that one would typically encounter. One of the worst I've had.
Orange Chicken - One of the better dishes. Wasn't amazing but decent. No real complaints.
Sweet & Sour Chicken - Chicken was on the dry side and a bit oily in flavor. The sauce was disappointment.
The free Crab Rangoon for order of $40 or more shown on my recent missing. I didn't see this on the receipt stapled to the bag so might be a system error. Whatever the case, they were missing.
Order was prepared quickly and the cashier was friendly so no issues there (just the missing item).
Price-wise it is a bit on the more expensive side and given the below average food, nothing here I will return for.
LEFT-OVER MAKE-OVER If you find yourself in my spot here, I was able to really turn most of these around. Here's what I did with the left-overs:
Spicy Crazy Noodle w/Chicken Added Roland Hot Chili infused Oil and sprinkled with red pepper (Cheyenne). After doing this wow wow wow!
Pad See Eiw Same as the above. An improvement IMO but not having as flat/neutral of a base flavor to begin with, my modification didn't work as well
Pork Pot Stickers (steamed) Added sesame seed oil and sprinkled with ginger powder. Nearly amazing afterwards! In hindsight, I might have used either avocado oil instead of the sesame seed as a more neutral enhancer or the above chili oil I'm sure would have been amazing. All cases I used low sodium Kikkoman soy sauce mixed with Huy Fong Fresh Chili Paste for a dipping sauce.
Wonton Soup Added fresh ground pepper (most course setting Cole & Mason Derwent Salt & Pepper Mill and Grinder Set) and fresh cilantro leaves. Honestly, unbelievable what a difference this made. Also, HUGE fan of the Cole and Mason grinder. Truly makes a big difference and haven't found any other grinder like it. Sorry don't recall which peppercorn I used either Amazon Happy Belly Tellicherry Whole Black Peppercorn or ones by "The Spice Lab".
Orange Chicken No changes left as is
Sweet & Sour Chicken Other than using a completely different sweet & sour sauce there was nothing I could think of to save this one plus the chicken was so dry...
Read more09/2024 update, was having a rushed day so i online ordered....so distracted that i ordered it wrong!! By the time I realized my husband was already on hisway to get it. I called and said have you already made it? They said yes, why did i ask. So i explained what happened, but told them i wasn't upset as i like what i accidentally ordered! They said "ok". You guessed it, it was remade by the time my husband got there. How nice is that??? Everything is amazing . First off they are so excellent with the covid situation. We got the egg foo young there because because our no longer favorite restaurant was closed. Thank heavens they did. I have NEVER had such a light and delicious egg food young in my entire life. It's do good you're afraid to try anything else! Then I find out they have curry?? Holy crap. Fresh veggies and the mushrooms, the chicken incredibly moist and delicious. My son had the kimchi, husband the sweet and sour chicken. We got the dinner specials, which, of course was a huge amount of food...egg rolls perfect, egg drop soup amazing, the chicken fried rice so yummy 😋. All of it under $30. Great food...
Read moreThe sushi is really good. The ingredients are fresh, taste really good, and they never seem to fall apart. It is much better than a place much closer to my work, but the delivery service/punctuality is just not good.
I order from here while on lunch. The first time I ordered for my food at 11 am, and for it to arrive by Noon for my lunch break. The guy didn't show up until 12:20, and I only had 10 minutes left on my break. The driver also had the audacity to ask for more money for the tip. Not professional.
Thought I'd give it another shot, and ordered again. My coworker and I ordered at 10:30 am online, and we didn't get our food until 12:15. We only have so much time on our breaks. We love the sushi, but if you are ordering from far enough away and are on a time crunch, it may not...
