AWSOM Wings Pizza & Burgers — Restaurant in Alhambra

I've lived in Alhambra for almost a decade and every time I've gone to this location, the food is good and the service is okay. However, I just went on a Saturday (4/22/17) at around 4pm and received the absolute worst service ever. I went with my boyfriend and mom and they told us the wait would be about 25 mins even though there was a clean table opened. About 15 minutes passed and we saw the table still opened so we asked the host if we could sit there. He said that table was reserved even though they had told me they did not accept reservations when I called prior to going to the location. 45 minutes later, table still opened and other (dirty) tables as well, my mom went to tell one of the managers (a female) that we had been waiting for a long time and there was a lot of tables opened. The female manager rudely asked my mom "do you still want a table or not?". My mom got upset and decided to walk away. Then came the male manager, this short-chunky guy with glasses, and asked us if we had a question. My boyfriend asked him if they only had 1 bus boy because there was a lot of tables opened but they just needed to be clean. The male manager then asked my boyfriend what any of that was his concern. (Are you kidding me? you're supposed to be a manager and you respond like that?) My boyfriend then asked him again and then the male manager told my boyfriend that that wasn't the right way to ask a question if we wanted a table. My boyfriend got upset and told him that who was he to tell him how to ask a question. The male manager then told us that we either had to wait until all the tables were cleaned or we could go somewhere else and before we could answer him, he...

If you're into sports, this is definitely the place for you. Me? I'm not into sports at all. But I AM into yummy food which is exactly what Alondra offers. I've been here on multiple occasions. Most of them, I left with a dissatisfied experience when it came to the staff. I only ever come back because of the pizzas but lately I've skipped the chaos that ensues in the evenings and have ordered take out. There has only been 1 or 2 times that I have gone where I really felt the attentiveness of the staff was great and at par level. Every other time, it was an issue with either getting an order wrong, not coming to check up on my table, having to get their attention to get the check after clearly being done with your meal, and other things.

It got to the point where I felt I no longer wanted to even bother with Alondra Hot Wings, especially since I am not a fan of the ambiance of the place. But I see myself coming back (always during lunchtime so it's not busy and there are NO sports games airing live besides golf which nobody cares about) to give them another chance just because I am really craving that pastrami and mustard pizza (which is no longer on the menu, but last time the waiter was nice enough to still ask the cook to make it). Overall, my experiences with Alondra have been less than amusing but I would still recommend it to people when it comes to their great selection of food choices from the pizzas, to the hot wings, chili cheese fries, and the deep fried...

What can I say, besides my companion, I didn't enjoy our evening here.

They sat us down almost immediately, which was great. The restaurant wasn't full but there were still quite a lot of people. I don't think they had enough waitresses, or they were actually avoiding people. Because they were always looking like they have something to do or thinking what to do next, not even ever looking your way.

The table they presentsp is too, was clean. Cleaned just before we got there, there seats were still wet, for soaking wet, had to wait till the seats dried out. One little thing they could've done, that would've made this whose experience less disappointing, was to inform us of the waiting time. At least we would've expected the wait, but now we had to wait and wonder when will our starter arrive. There were few other couples waiting for their food too.

Our first order came with the wrong toppings, by the time we managed to get a waitress attention they brought us out wings. Thank goodness because those wings saved us. Only when we finished them the new pizza came. And boy was it disappointing. Mushrooms were so thick and undercooked, looked raw and no one likes raw mushrooms. Pepper was slightly undercooked too, but I let that pass. And of course we had to wait to get our check and pay.

Overall negative experience of waiting for this and waiting for that, without apologising for the delay or informing us was the highlight of this...
