I want this to be a 4.5 rating, not a 4. We came here on a Saturday, and as soon as we walked in the door, there was an off putting smell that I couldn't pinpoint. It was not an aroma from food, though. It was almost musty, which could've been anything from floors being mopped with dirty water, Or tables not being cleaned and sanitized properly. Now, mind you, I hate writing reviews like this, but I hope it will serve as constructive, and the management will correct this, because honestly EVERYTHING else was great. Service was attentive and courteous. I ordered a strawberry lychee soju slush and it was refreshing and really yummy. We also ordered the cheesy boneless chicken, honey garlic boneless, and the super hot boneless chicken. We wanted the galbi, but they were out of that sauce. I only had the cheesy and honey garlic. I tried the hot, and oh my, it packed a PUNCH. I think anyone who enjoys spicier flavors would love this. The cheesy flavor reminded me a lot of Kraft mac and cheese powder with a hint of sweetness. Really good. Would order again. The honey garlic was really really good. Get the pickled radish, especially if you order the spicier flavors.
All in all, a good experience. Would...
Read moreMy daughter was craving korea chicken. We have had togo from here when they first opened and the service was GREAT! Today we went on a Friday about 1:30pm.. there was a young server and 1 table that was almost done. We walked in, he looked at us, then said sit where you like. We took the side table.. he gave us the menu, pointed at the button and said ring it when you need me. Before we rang, he brought us waters which was great. But he just felt like he didn't really want to be there. He didn't smile, make any recommendations. We ordered a Coke and a full bone in chicken 1/2 and 1/2. They use these small plastic cups which are really annoying and the plastic forks that they give us? They keep bending because when you dab the hot chicken with the plastic fork, IT SORT OF SOFTENS it and starts bending. Not the smartest. We asked for a refill on the Coke and he sort of looked at me like "what?!".. We were the only table for awhile. I went up to the front desk 3 times, and all 3 times (Whether there where other customers or not.. before we left there where 4 tables including us... he was always on his phone) He finally gaves us a smile when I was paying my bill..
Food - was great.. crispy. Spicy.. yummy Service.. - could...
Read moreAnother Korean fried chicken, what can I say. Their fried chicken are awesome, I ordered the 1/2 and 1/2 whole chicken (original and hot spicy), loved it, perfect seasoning, not too much on the hot spicy sauce which sometime makes the chicken soggy. The hot spicy has some sweetness on its taste and slowly heat up in your mouth. The original tastes great too, the battered is perfect. I also ordered the Bulgogi poutine, WOW!!! First time trying it, so good. Loved the combination of meats, tots, Kimchi and egg. The only regret was the coleslaw, 3.99 for the portion, you tell me, worth it? The slaw was bland and dry, had to add my own dressing. I will definitely go back for...
