Papas Pizza of Allen Park — Restaurant in Allen Park

I order from this pizza place pretty regularly. Everytime I’ve ordered I have put in the same order online and if they don’t understand what I mean they call me. The food is normally fresh, and good. I’ve only had an issue with my pizza once and normally the service is good so I called to see if they could fix my issue and I immediately felt they didn’t care. I talk to Scott multiple times and the first thing he said was “this isn’t our fault”. He took zero accountability and never attempted to correct the issue with my order. All he provided was excuses followed by lies. After a back and forth I let him know I order regularly almost 1 a week honestly, he said he would be willing to take down my info and provide a pizza for the next time. I called today to follow up on his promise and he told me “I talked to the owner and he said he’s not giving a credit for the pizza.” As a customer it’s never an issue for me to go elsewhere. I can tell this location doesn’t care about customer service or maybe it’s because I’m black, who knows. All I know is a $20 pizza is never worth losing a customer and receiving a negative review. A simple remake would have been fine and I would have been fine now I’ll never go back.

My advice is to tell your employee “just give them the pickle” story because in the long run customer service is the key to any successful business and that’s for a $20 or...

I called ( Darren - not my wife ) to explain an order made incorrectly, I was transferred to a manager ( a Thursday 1:30. p.m. ), the manager was rude, kept interrupting, wouldn’t take 2 minutes to listen, rudely argued their way of ordering is different than 99% of any reputable business and put it on us. It was only after my I worked to explain customer service starts at being polite and listening to the problem he reversed only to “ well I’m busy, what do you want me to do!! We are very patient and understanding people, I honorably served our country as a veteran / Deputy Sheriff, I understand the need for being patient and caring, the way I served every day, even after multiple injuries in the line of duty and countless surgeries, and this is the best this establishment gives our veterans on its first experience with a new and potential long term customer?! We are very generous with small business, I loathe leaving this review but it’s necessary. I truly wish people could have heard how this adult manager spoke to me as I maintained my patience throughout. Patrons...

I am new to the area. In search of an awesome pie, my friend suggested Papa’s Pizza. I admit I was reluctant, only because I was familiar with a couple of other pizza places in the area. I ordered (delivery) from Papa’s … and it arrived hot and fresh and crispy - not warm/wet from a mobile warmer. It looked good but I knew when I heard it crunch and got a nice thick cheese pull as I grabbed a piece from the box to my plate - we have a winner. I thought “hmm… I guess we’ll see” and took a bite. (WOW!) The dough was crispy and light but the bottom didn’t sag. The pepperoni grease was on top of the pepperoni, not all over the pizza, the sauce wasn’t sweet and wasn’t bitter at all. It was perfect. Though everything I just described was great, the spotlight shines on the cheese. The cheese is AWESOME. It’s “real” mozzarella - the expensive stuff, and they ain’t skimping on it. I was so happy about this pizza, I had to call them back and compliment them. Bravo!
