This is place is outstanding!! Words are not enough to describe our experience. So far, we have visited 3 times dine-in and couple of time carry-out. Each and every time it was super good that beyond our expectations. My family thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at this restaurant on second week of their opening! It's a quaint, tidy spot offering both dine-in and take-out options for Indian cuisine. Pretty impressive cleanliness and high standard despite being so busy. The ambiance was delightful, and the wait staff were incredibly attentive and professional. We tried Chicken Wrap, Vegetable Samosa, Papadom, Chicken Masala, Shrimp fried rice, seafood curt and the lamb biryani. Everything was good but the Lamb biryani was exceptional, with just the right amount of spice complemented by a delicious homemade Raita sauce. The Garlic cheese naan was also incredibly tasty. They explain the menu well and wait staff were kind. We returned for a second visit after two weeks and it's just such a pleasant place to dine. The samosas were particularly delicious. On our second visit, we tried in paneer tikka masala, cheese naan, Chili naan, Coconut bread and regular garlic naan along with few different entree—all of which were flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. Our third visit, with a group of friends, total 9 of us, as Pink Garlic became one of our favorite restaurants already. Their Oak Park location is particularly on fire, as I also tried their carry out in the meantime. Anyway, at our third dine in at Allen Park location, the food was consistently amazing, with plenty of options to choose from and customizable spice levels. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it perfect for those with hearty appetites. Plus, it's a great spot for newcomers to Indian cuisine to sample a variety of dishes in one sitting (mix starter, Mix grill). During our group visit, we ordered dishes including mix starters, Chicken Saslic, Mango Lassi, Mix Grill platter, Veg Pakora, Goat Biryani, Butter Chicken, and many more—totaling 14 dishes! It was impressive to see the restaurant bustling with take-out orders, a testament to their high quality and affordability. Their take-out packaging ensures that the food stays warm and delicious, without becoming dry or soggy. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is pleasant, with Indian music playing softly in the background. We're even considering hiring them for our daughter's catering event in June, as we've heard excellent things about their catering service. Update: we visited again group of 10 and food was absolutely amazing. Last weekend tried their carry out and it was absolutely outstanding!! We are super regular now and cannot wait to visit...
Read moreI've eaten Indian once in my life before I tried pink garlic. I am not one for spicy food so I know it was a risk so at first I tried a chicken dish and an appetizer with a few different things I thought they were okay and I really liked the naan bread. I then found korma and at first I tried the chicken and then I tried the veggie and ever since then I've been getting the veggie korma literally once a week sometimes even twice a week I get carry out and get enough so that I can have it for dinner and at least lunch the next day. I just ordered online and my husband will run in and get it and it has been pretty good. Granted I get it mild or with no spice and I eat at my own way with rice on top of the naan bread and some mango chutney. I always buy an extra rice and buy two to four naan breads and buy an extra mango chutney or two and I haven't really had any critiques except for with how aromatic the korma is sometimes I wish I had a tiny bit more flavor but I salt the rice and the korma and I have really come to like it. The other thing was I wish they had better detail on the menu to let you know if the curry is spicy Etc so I could try other things without worrying that they would be too spicy for me. This past time all I can think is that the main person must have been off that day because I ordered two extra rices and I only received one. I ordered three mango chutneys and they literally were water they were nothing close to what I have had before. My naan bread was literally stuck together in a ball I couldn't get it apart. I was also super disappointed because I decided to try the dumpling appetizers I can't remember what they were called at the moment and it had a picture on the ordering website of five or six steamed or fried dumplings. I was not very happy to see once we got it home that there was only four but that they were covered in a hot spicy sauce. They were drowned in them and there was nothing on the menu or any of the ordering sites that showed or said that so I bought them for no reason. I will definitely give them another chance I feel like they just had an off day but some better descriptions on the menu especially for spice and definitely some consistency would work out a little better. I would say 9 out of 10 visits have been pretty great but I just thought they should know whoever took over one or two shifts the customers that day could have been pretty...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for the first time on 9/9 with my girlfriend and our friends, honestly I wasn’t expecting much having never heard of this place before. Let me tell you, this was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. Our group was greeted from the moment we walked in by happy faces, our chairs were pulled out for us, and the menu was quickly explained for the majority of our group who had never been to Pink Garlic. The owner was right beside his staff, coaching a new hire as he served us, providing a really great experience (Even we picked up a few dining tips that I didn’t know from the exchange). The owner (Ray) and serving staff made sure that we never even came close to having an empty drink cup, or messy table. It was genuinely wonderful, without being excessive as our table had plenty of time to talk in between ordering and waiting for food. The food is the next best part of the service, authentic Indian food with a great flavor! The staff warned us in advance that they keep their meals set at a medium/mild spice, but that we were free to ask for anything to be made hotter (which we did). Our table tried a few different dishes, the regular and garlic cheese Naan, Veggie Samosas, Butter chicken, Chicken Tikka, Chicken 65, etc. The spices, flavors, and preparation of these dishes were all top notch. I mean truly, our food looked as it did on the menu if not better. Not to mention the portion sizes (I took home over half my meal to enjoy as leftovers). I cannot overstate how delicious, and large all the different dishes we received were. I have never in my life seen such hefty samosas before, we could definitely only get through one each (even with the amazing sauces they provided). Our service ended with hot towels, and a genuine thank you from the owner. We were thrilled by how cheap our meals were (under $120 for 4 people all getting their own meals and some sides) It was truly a luxury service at an affordable price point, and would be great for anyone looking for a nice place to impress their friends with. We will 100% be back to our...
