This is probably my new favorite coffeeshop downriver south of Detroit. It is a Turkish? coffeeshop that is cozy but also accommodating. I would rate this place 10/10 stars if I could. How many positive things can I say about this place? Let me give it a shot.
The customer service: Was prompt, welcoming, and informative. I walked in, was promptly greeted by the cashier/barista and she answered all of my questions with sincerity and honesty. Didn't make me feel like I was wasting her time or taking too long to make my decision.
The menu: very expansive. They have a small selection of sandwiches, half of which are only available for breakfast, but they also have regular coffee, Turkish coffee, hot chocolate, ice cream, desserts, pastries, and specialty coffee drinks. I ordered one of their croissant sandwiches and was not disappointed by the quality or appalled at the price.
The atmosphere: I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE. Cozy like other Middle Eastern coffeeshops, BUT with large(r) tables and a L shaped bar space that felt extremely accommodating. My favorite part is that the tables along the side opposite the counter/kitchen there are power outlets for your laptop should you want to study and/or do homework here. Also, the large(r) tables I referenced felt large enough to not feel cramped if you wanted to spread out a little with a laptop but also, are just large enough to accommodate a midsized board game if you wanted to hang out with some friends here and chill and play some games.
They have a "fireplace" by the entrance as well as outdoor seating when it gets warmer. Also, they have a storage area that takes up the other half of the building that only employees are allowed to enter, but they have windows showing it if you want to see it. Lots of roasting equipment and it looks like they have their own coffee machinery there. It feels like they've optimized the space the best they can for what they bought. Oh, and they have a drive through as well. Convenient when you can't physically stop into the store to order. I will be frequenting this place as long as I live...

Read moreWhen it comes to coffee, I am serious. And the beans here are SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS. I bought the light roasted beans and they are great for home brewing (I do pour over using Tetsu Kasuyaâs method). It tastes so good and fresh. I was told that my beans had been roasted just 1 day before my purchase and it was true, by looking at the blooming I could tell. In terms of taste and flavor, it is kind of herbal and spice, not really sweet for the after taste (perhaps because I used the light roast, next time I will try darker roast and see if I can squeeze some sweetness out of these beans). The owner was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable of his beans. No hidden recipes, pure quality. HIGHLY...
