This property needs a lot of work for being so new. Arrival was fine. Arrived an hour before check-in and told only room available and ready would be handicapped 207 and we accepted. This was the manager that checked us in. We got to the room and immediately noticed dirty wall handprint and another with footprints along with stains all over carpet - we were in town for friends and family so why worry let's get out and spend good times with good people. We come back for showers (handicapped shower) and go out again. That night notice room smells mildewy (no bathroom fan no windows to open (wall ac running cold). Mind you while walking out to venture out hear manager talk to subordinates saying "no one's talking to my girls like that.". On the surface cool sticking up for staff but this is Customer service and how we talk about paying customers behind their backs these days- red flag number 4. Later that day when wanting to shower again, lift handicapped seat in shower this time and notice fungus growing in the form of mushrooms- pretty sure that fails a health inspection. Now faced with likely a staff in denial as cleaning is obviously not occuring, decided have to buy own sponge to at least clean shower so not a health risk. Bathroom also has a broken towel bar and dirty floor. Decided to bring these issues up with photos at end of stay and was not offered a mgr or corporate contact by staff, just to send photos to a number. Lastly, the place does not ensure breakfast items such as eggs meet temperature requirements to be served. I suggest staying somewhere safe health wise u til this place can figure out how to...
Read moreI chose this hotel because I am an IHG member and it was close to the airport. The price for 3 nights was competitive and I always like Holiday Inns. Everything was nice and smooth until it was time to sleep. The exhaust in the bathroom never went off. After hours of trying to ignore it, we could no longer take it. My elderly mother asked the front desk to please shut it off to which they replied, "It doesn't go off." It was 3 o'clock in the morning and it sounded as if there was a jackhammer in the bathroom. We were so exhausted after a long day of travel and we finally drifted off. We spoke with the manager the next day who simply said, "Lots of people complain about it, but theres nothing we can do about it." She also said, "We can try and put you in another room but it will most likely be the same noise."
We were there for a funeral, which was stressful and draining so we were not up for packing up to try and find another hotel for the next two nights. It was awful to spend the day making arrangements with family, only to come back to the hotel and not be able to simply rest. I hate that we had to endure that for three nights and I would never, ever stay there again. It was quite disheartening to know that many people complain about the noise yet no one will fix it. We were excited to stay in a new hotel and hoped for a pleasant stay despite the circumstances. This was not it. I am so disappointed in Holiday Inn. This is one of my favorite hotel chains and I always look for one when I travel. This experience has greatly soured me on Holiday Inn. Especially since the manager's expression was...
Read moreIf it wasn't for GREAT breakfast and coffee I'd given 0 Stars!!! Stayed here for a week on a business trip for work. took 3 rooms swaps to get right room First room safe was dead, floor was randomly wet in the middle of room Second room dead safe yet again and deadbolt on door would not shut nor would shades work properly Third room Handicap room was fine, sadly it took THIS to get a working safe and deadbolt door Did laundry and one of the dryers I stuck my money in was dead and didn't dry my clothes. LASTLY and I mean the WORSE! I had my new Truck parked in THEIR parking lot over night right UNDER THEIR camera system and it got hit!!! I looked up to myself and to my surprise to me it looks as if big brother was watching at the right time for once. I seen white scrapes on my paint so I figured look for a white car on there cameras. Good possibility person who hit me was still staying there and I could figure it out. Went to front desk and was told only Manager knew how to access footage and it would be 2 days before she was back was told to contact local PD for accident report. I was leaving following day so had to call from the road to touch base, needless to say I was disappointed for the lack of help there again! I got her response which was " I don't know how to use those or access either" Then was told "File a claim with you insurance company" so after a week stay and 3 room swaps and a smashed truck with no help can you see how DELIGHTED I 'am to leave a 1 STAR review? good...
