On a recent visit to Andy’s Frozen Custard with a friend, we were fortunate to be helped by one of the employees, Sutton Constant, who completely elevated our experience. While Andy’s is always a reliable place for sweet treats, Sutton reminded me that what truly makes a visit special isn’t only the ice cream—it’s the people who serve it.
From the moment we walked up, Sutton greeted us with friendliness and genuine positivity. Instead of rushing through the order, he took the time to make the interaction feel personal. That kind of hospitality is rare in fast-paced customer service jobs, and it stood out right away. He balanced efficiency with kindness, creating an atmosphere that made us feel valued as customers.
The part that truly made the night memorable was Sutton’s generosity in giving my friend and me free ice cream. While a simple gesture, it instantly brightened our day. We had both been tired and stressed, but his kindness completely changed the mood. Free custard might seem small, but it carried a big impact—it was thoughtful, unexpected, and something we won’t forget.
What impressed me most was that Sutton didn’t need to go above and beyond, but he chose to. That decision reflects not only his character but also the pride he takes in his work. His attitude showed that Andy’s is more than just a dessert stop; it’s a place where people feel welcomed and appreciated.
Customer service can often feel impersonal, but Sutton demonstrated what true hospitality looks like. We left Andy’s smiling, not only because of the ice cream but because someone cared enough to make the experience memorable. It’s employees like Sutton who turn a routine visit into a highlight of someone’s week.
In short, Sutton Constant perfectly represents the spirit of Andy’s Frozen Custard. His kindness and professionalism are worth recognizing, and Andy’s should be proud to have him as part of their team. Sometimes the sweetest part of dessert isn’t the custard—it’s the people who serve...
Read moreDon't go there - their consistently friendly service and super yummy treats will just form a habit that you won't be able to kick. Stick with the fake ice cream like substance that McD's sells. You should be safe, then... if you survive.
But, if you're going to ignore my warning and go, anyway, grab the app and sign up for rewards and specials. The periodic feeling of accomplishment helps to suppress the feeling that maybe you shouldn't be having more than one treat per day. But, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
Andy's is a local chain selling these devilishly good treats. They seem to be located mostly North in the Dallas/Frisco area. But there are a few exceptions a little further South - closer to Dallas. I used to make a point to visit Andy's whenever I was in the Frisco area. But, then they opened this one right in Allen near my work! Nooo! I had self-control until then. Oh well, there's no fighting it. Maybe I'll explore some of the other options.
And, stay away from the Turtle Concrete - it's mine. 😋😉 Ok, you...
Read moreWe drove by the Andy's Frozen Custard in Allen,Tx and decided to pull in and try it out (First time there). We pulled into the drive-in lane and up to the Menu board to give a good academic look at the choices! There was a young lady named Chassidy (later found out she was the General Manager) standing by the menu board in the heat of the day to offer assistance. I guess she could tell we were first timers. She gave us a warm greeting and asked if we'd been there before and we told her we had not. She said "Welcome to your next favorite addiction!" LOL! She was right! She made great recommendations and I have to say they were DELICIOUS! The customer service was fantastic and the Custard was out of this world! We even signed up for their Loyalty rewards program! If you are in the area I highly recommend making this one...
