Some stadiums have great access in and out. Some have good views from the seats. Others have enough bathrooms and concessions. Some have enough seats for all fans. Some have great sound and videos. None have it all.
Until now.
Eagle Stadium is incredible. It was well designed and provides fans with a game day (or night) experience that you have to see to believe. The lower bowl makes a horseshoe around the field and the fans have choices between bleacher seats and seats with backs, although Allen's home side has all been taken by season ticket holders. The concourse is very wide and never seems too congested. The video board is very large and used throughout the game. It would be nice to see more scores from around the league as the game is being played. The concessions stands are plentiful and the food is average to maybe slightly above average (I've had 2 hamburgers that were charbroiled beyond medium :-( ). Pricing is average for high school football. There are bathrooms everywhere and they are spacious, clean, and air-conditioned.
On the perfunctory side, parking is no problem as there are enough spots for everyone, especially on the visitor's side. Access in and out of the stadium is quick and efficient.
Overall, I would good the stadium an A. Great experience if you love high...
Read moreI'll try to leave politics out of this, and base my review on the venue only.
Wonderful sight lines from every seat.
The upper deck does seem a little too high, and a feeling of quietness looms over it when the game is in full swing. I think you get that at most every multiple decked stadium.
There is concession stand access in the four corners of the stadium, and for the most part the lines stay under control. Except for that opening night against Southlake. I think the issue was that the school was counting on volunteers to work the concessions, but no one in town wanted to miss the opening game, so they were woefully understaffed. But that hasn't been an issue since the first night.
Restrooms are big and plentiful.
Underneath the stands on the home side houses the golf and wrestling practice facilities. Very nice as well. I hear the weight lifting rooms are under the visitor side, but I haven't been over there to see it.
The season ticket lottery system was very well organized and the process to obtain tickets was quick and easy thanks to this well thought out process. I was a first time season ticket purchaser in 2012, and the rumors about it being impossible to get tickets just aren't true.
Looking forward to season number...
Read moreA really massive stadium that has amazing amenities. Visited the stadium for a playoff game and it easily hosted over 5000 people. The place is really well built and designed. There are ramps for walking behind. There are two levels of seating, lower and upper that have a clear divide particularly on the home side. Of course for a stadium of this size it also has a video board. The Allen Eagle football team uses this stadium for their games and hosts playoffs and other events here. The stadium costed 60 million to build and it's only a high school stadium but the quality of the allen football team outshines the quality of the stadium. All in all its a...
