My experience at El Aztecas was nothing short of delightful! As someone who adores Mexican food, I can confidently say that this place serves some of the most authentic and flavorful dishes in the area. The vibrant atmosphere and the warm, colorful decor made me feel like I was dining in the heart of Mexico.

What truly made our experience stand out was our exceptional waitress, Silvia. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly attentive and welcoming. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered valuable recommendations based on our preferences. Silvia took the time to explain the dishes in detail, which helped us decide on the perfect meal.

We started with the house-made guacamole, which was rich and creamy – the ideal appetizer to whet our appetites. For our main course, we enjoyed the Mole Poblano and Carne Asada, both of which were bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. To top off our meal, we indulged in their scrumptious churros, served with a decadent chocolate sauce.

Came in and had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated when there were only 5 tables being occupied. After we were seated we waited about another 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by a server and ordered 2 waters to start. Finally got our waters and ordered guacamole to start for our chips and salsa that the menu and signs on the walls and door clearly state are free. We waited 15 minutes to get our guacamole that he quickly dropped off and walked off not saying anything. At this point being in the restaurant for about 40 minutes we decided we were not going to order dinner because of the way longer than needed wait. I had to go up to our server and ask for the check (for the guacamole). He, at his leisure, brought over the check and I noticed it was more than what it was supposed to be. I asked why we got charged for the chips and the salsa when they clearly have multiple signs stating it is free. He said he was told to charge for it. I went and talked to the manager and was told he didn't want customers there at his restaurant that were just going to waste their time. I asked what he meant by that, because we paitently waited and it was clear that they had other priorities besides their patrons. He was so rude and disrespectful and we will not be back. It is called the hospitality industry for a reason, they obviously need to look up...

I came here for a double date with my roommate and her boyfriend and it was the best decision ever. They don't take any reservations, so we had to put our names down with a 45 minute wait. We were lucky enough to find some empty seats at the bar so we could order some drinks while we waited. Their beer choices apparently change from time to time, which is a fun twist!

We ordered the crab cakes and the uni for appetizers. Both were absolutely fantastic. The crab cakes came in an order of two for $13, and they were small. Divided between 4 people, we each only had a bite, but that bite brought us to heaven. The uni on the crunchy toasted bread with some salad was delicious as well.

My boyfriend ordered the fettuccine with clams, and I gotta say, it is the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. I ordered the cioppino, which came with an abundant amount of clams, muscles, scallops, and shrimp. It was absolutely delicious as well! But I still stole fettuccine and clams from my boyfriend's plate!
