Goldberg's Famous Bagels — Restaurant in Allendale

I’m only giving a one star review because I have no other option to give less. I walk in and there’s about 15 people working, behind the counters most of which are preparing for online orders and handling DoorDash drivers coming in throwing their phone in the air like it’s a concert looking for their food to deliver, which seems to take precedence over walk in customers, I ordered a corn beef and egg sandwich. The woman behind the counter rung me up $14.71. I said that’s a mistake. This is a sandwich I get regularly. Please don’t disregard the pricing on the menus another girl that was standing there taking DoorDash orders Speaking in Spanish as if I have no idea what she saying but I do and she was obnoxious and rude. I didn’t say anything until the very end when I had to speak Spanish back to her the boss came over and told me I was confusing her! I laughed, and I said , this place is a joke and English as a second language here. The only thing confusing her is the English language. Goldbergs needs to get it together. They’re hiring incompetent people paying less they’re rude and obnoxious. My coffee was burnt. I had to ask for it three times in three different ways in two different languages. I ordered a hot pastrami sandwich with Swiss cheese just like I would at any other bagel store. It was also written on the wall under Goldberg specialties, hot pastrami. So idk why the girl looked at me like I had two heads. I repeated to her more than once hot pastrami on the grill. Then she told the other man that I want pastrami, then said something in Spanish to the other woman, and started to laugh. When I went to eat my food, my sandwich was not hot at all. It was as if they microwaved it. It was not made on the grill at all like I asked which is weird because thats how all bagel stores do it. They put so much meat as if they’re trying to get rid of it. I felt like I was chewing rubber and I could not finish my food. $15 for what? Also, every time I come here, the older man with the glasses is rude, always messes up my order and something is missing. He is always in a rush even if it’s not busy. I also work in the service industry and I take my time with each and every customer no matter how busy it is because that’s how it should be. The only person that does a good job is the nice lady with curly hair and green eyes. She always makes the food with love and is the reason why I come back to this place but this was the last straw for me. I will not be...

My 1st and last experience! Very rude staff!! I'm new to the area and looking for a bagel store. I find one and while standing in line see chicken salad. I ask an employee if there are nuts in the salad. He claims to not know and asks another employee. I am watching them converse and then neither one of these males return to me with an answer so I go up to the front of the line and re-ask my question. The "2nd" employee became soo rude and aggressive yelling at me saying that I cut the line. I informed him that I've been waiting to no avail and would like an answer. He yells and then I decide to walk out. As I am walking out...3 customers said to me that he was indeed rude, aggressive and that response was unwarranted. One lady saw me still sitting in the parking lot afterward and wanted to let me know that she witnessed it all and agreed it was unwarranted.
