I’ve been coming to the Hamilton Diner for years and i’ve never experienced an issue until today. Today they closed at 3pm and i ordered what i have been ordering for years, a delicious wrap! The waitress (didn’t catch her name) was not attentive or friendly. My food came out wrong, i politely explained my issue and made it clear i understood they closed in 30mins and would take my food to go and that i just would appreciate a new wrap with my correct requested items in the wrap. Well, the waitress came back out and proceeded to tell me that “obviously my tastebuds are wrong because it’s the food I asked for” i stated i’ve been coming here for years and have never had an issue can you guys please just remake the food i’m paying for. The waitress huffed and walked away. The owner then came out threw a plate of ranch on my table and insisted i ate that to make sure that’s what i wanted. i said that is what i want however if you add ranch the wrap still wouldn’t be correct because their is other dressing inside of it that i didnt ask for and no cheddar cheese. The owner Hedi (i believe his name was) began arguing with me saying i’ve never came to that establishment before. i ignored his rude customer service skills and said i just want my food remade. it’s now 10mins to closing. he came back out threw the boxed up meal on my table. I went to go pay and he then proceeded to tell me to never come back while also asking other waitresses in front of me if they have ever seen me? I paid for my food and he angrily stated again he never wanted me back again. I’ve never been treated with such disgust at a restaurant, especially when i was polite and still paying for my food. Don’t...
Read moreIt's a 24 hour diner, but yet a whole group of my coworkers decided to go there at 8:30pm. There was 7 of us in total and right when we went in the lady gave us an issue and attitude because of how big our group was. Then she slammed every menu down on our table as if it killed her to serve a huge group of minority's. Not only that, but we ended up waiting almost 10min just to finally see our waitress who never introduced herself and gave us attitude too for no apparent reason. Clearly this was already rubbing off to all of us that they had an issue with us since we came in. So once ordering our waitress sounds annoyed cause one of my coworkers kept asking about the menu items since they had little descriptions and once she finally gets all our orders in, she disappears the rest of the time till our food was ready. Didn't ask us if we needed refills. Nothing. We had to physically call her back over just to have our drinks refilled. Then she put me down for the wrong food and then gave me an issue to fix it when I proved her wrong by showing her on the menu that she clearly gave me the wrong order and then tried to fixed it by charging me extra for the new plate. No thank you. A real customer service associate would have apologized and fixed the order, but no clearly they don't care about their customer base that much. First time we all been there, and never again will I go there. Very rude and unpleasant and made it feel like it was a racial issue, but being the people that we are we hope she enjoyed her tip considering she...
Read moreBeen going here since I moved here which was about 11 years ago. I've never had a problem with any experience I had there until the last time I was there. My boyfriend and I came there for dinner, which was the first (and last) time we've ever done that. We both ordered seafood with me ordering a seafood platter including shrimp and him ordering salmon. I made it VERY clear that my boyfriend has an extreme shellfish allergy to the waitress so that she could make the chef aware of it. She brushed me off. I know she didn't tell anyone in the kitchen because she went on to her other tables after I said that. When we got our food and started eating, my boyfriend at first was ok. After 5 minutes, he shot to the bathroom and threw up for almost 10 minutes. He had me taste the salmon and it tasted like the entire ocean (old). The waitress did comp the meal and gave us a free dessert, which was decent of her. I can't prove it, but I'm willing to bet that the reaction came from the chef using the same cooking utensils to cook our food. The moral of this story is: if you have food allergies, you should be cautious about what you order from here. The staff is great and I know this place is a staple in this area, but not much care is given to those with...
